Indoor Poems - Poems about Indoor

An Indoor Day During the Pandemic

A runaway growth of weeds alongside the road,
greenery gone wild,
a stagnant wilderness unwinding,
seedy leaves scatter
but cannot flee. Dust bowl squalor
chokes down scrawny roots.
A gray sugar rush from speedy cube trucks sprinkles
what wiggle room is left to sweeten ameciated tongues.

You Are

a coffin lid with nails
pulled out, a quake's handrails
the paws releasing snails
a Rorschach of Swiss trails
the

The Door

Behind the door,
Lay your shattered tears in seafloor,

Pardon my betrayal outdoor,
My heart wandered away indoor,
Through the trap door,

Never let this guy indoor,
She recalled his spoor,
Washing the floor,

Broken doorknobs,
A love stopped to a hidden doorsill,
He laments in the dooryard.

Doorways dispersed the doorstops...

Crying her heart, a home withoutdoors,
Dead as a

I Don'T Know Outside

I don't know outside
Having never been
The couch is my lair
Along with the bed

I sit on the sill
And stare at the scene
Feathered shapes
Flit around so fast

Are they real?
I can't tell there's no smell
So I guess not
I chase a red dot

That catches my eye
Then I eat and lie down
I sometimes sense more
But not sure what could be

My

There is a most peaceful, restorative place
where I can spend hours to unwind and renew.
Our sunroom addition becomes a showcase
for nature's blue sky, rolling hills, river view;
for many a year, my own magical space...
clear walls and glass roof, sunbeams filtering thru.
My heaven on earth where life's joys multiply
indoors, yet outside, neath the beautiful sky.

Indoor and Outdoor Plants

The rain that fell on the night was of the type pot plants like,
it has stopped the air is mild, and the flowers smiles except the lemon tree
that is born grumpy and bears bitter fruit, which incidentally is good
with fried fish and it refreshes otherwise lame dishes, say fish cakes with
boiled potatoes, a

Indoor Tent

Inside the little indoor tent,
H and H and Nana went
To sit there cozy, warm and snug;
It felt like an extended hug.

A private world we did create
With nothing there to aggravate –
My grandkids (ages 1 and 3)
And happy (but exhausted) me.

An Indoor Day

An indoor day (too hot outside!)
Won't meet with much resistance
As long as there's creative play
(With just some slight assistance).

Toy vehicles drove carpet roads
While at the new play kitchen,
I ate some "Swiss cheese" cooked with "salt"
To match what my blood's rich in.

Next Dr. Bear saw patients
And he gave each one a shot.
Mr. Monkey didn't mind
But Turtle

Indoor Sports

This is a verse of new thoughts,
I've invented indoor sports,
Written in a poem of riddles,
Like, "What is Time for Tiddles?"
Why, it's wine with Mahjong,
Those tiles don't tarry long,
Then, it's "Drinks for Scrabble,"
With bevvies, we'll all dabble,
Or, "Come and try my beers,"
Many varieties over here,
New indoor sports, my dears!

Indoor Universe

The the clock strikes nine
And gone is the last sip of wine
To numb my sorrow of you leaving
God I wish it wasn’t so easy
Why is getting over it harder for me

Indoor universe
Where my hurt is in reverse
Used to share this shelter
Away from any kind of freezing weather
You used to touch
I used far
