The sun rises up,
Then the clouds move in.
Heavy with drops,
Soon the rain would begin.
It’s wild at first,
With lightning flashes,
Then the thunder,
With booms and clashes.
It moves quickly by,
The high winds blow.
Then it calms,
As if to know
We need a break,
From the summer sun.
We want to play
And have some fun.
Under the trees
We make up games,
Freed from the heat
By the cool summer rains.
A glitter gel pen,
My captivated thoughts,
Communicates in a clear page of my notebook.
I got the bruise of blue,
And began to wonder
The paradox of living all summer
How life has become cruel and kind?
To go from growing up,
To breaking down.
The shiniest wheels are rusting now.
Like water falling in a river,
My sapphire tears,
Came rushing down my scarlet cheeks,
Got within me to shiver.
There were pages turned,
With the bridges burned,
And I had no idea
I've got a lot of lessons learned.
The sky seems to be on fire,
Almost supernatural,
Burning magnesium bright.
Almost as if Armageddon is coming;
As if it's already here.
It transfers its brillance to the mountains
Turning the rock into pillars of flame,
Makinf them seem even more immovable,
Even more untouchable,
Grander, and more breathtakingly terrifying
Than ocean waves at night.
And if the scholars are right
And my time here is limited,
Almost to the point of being negligible
In the view of the mountains, the sea, and the sky;
If this could be that fabled 'any moment'
Then I am sure that I'll be fine.
This one perfect sunrise;
That one immaculate night on the beach;
Those Holy days, that come every summer;
There is nothing more or less
Than any one of these.
And as the sky starts to lose its color,
As the day starts fading gently into night,
I'll hold on to this one perfect moment;
This one second of blazing clarity,
When the world itself seemed more alive.
Spring‘s gone,
Summer days,
Autumns hues of crimson and gold, will soon replace.
Silently, I gaze from secret place
Consumed by memories
Of happiness shared of you and me,
Snowy days spent by the fire
Entangled souls seemingly
We beat the odds with evenness
Blissfully…
In this present moment, a longing touch rises within
Where giddy hearts still afire
Passionately so…
In an instant,
It begins to rain within,
I sigh, you sigh -- We
Breathe…
Twilight falls on slender frame
Against a sea without a name
Ivory pearl smile, tucked in a rhyme
A beauty misplaced among the waves of
time.
Fearsome, a tremble
cold beneath an icy sky
only a dry tear in a thimble
shed after a lonesome sigh.
She is a single petal
caught in the wind
from memory to shade
reflection of a night lost again.
She is a prayer whispered
A dream faintly clinging
An iris in bloom
An Autumn in waning.
Her soul is a winter
cooling in repose
But her heart is like summer
a fiercely burning rose.
Her tears don't fall
they rest and shimmer
reflecting in the stars
as a heavenly glimmer.
