Hypnotising Poems | Examples

The girl who loved to dance

For her it was a quiet act of rebellion
To the world it was just a girl dancing
The smile on her face magnetic
The way she swung her hips mesmerising
Her rhythm hypnotising
She was proud of herself for letting go
Of choosing her freedom
Instead of being trapped in a room full of her own demons

Instead of wallowing in her sadness
She danced in joy
Celebrating a part of herself She had hidden
She celebrated her blackness

She was the epitome of beauty
Not just her looks but her beauty within
To anyone who'd ever be so lucky
To witness her glory
Would be enchanted by her smile
The type that reaches her eyes
They way the sun danced on her skin
Sprinkling a glow so golden
Like a sunflower In the garden

This intimate act of self care
Was a moment so special
It will forever be embedded
In her head
The day she decided
This joy She would never forget
And as she danced away
She promised to not let regret
Keep her hostage in the past
But to soak up every moment if happiness
And to live in the present

lost on the path

But alas; sometimes I think we've lost our way-
too many strayed opinions...one too many a survey.

Walking on the road ahead, just following the herd of sheep-
with a hypnotised mind, wide awake yet very fast asleep.

While yelling...join the team of the future progressiveness-
but if you don`t your old fashion, head full of mindlessness.

The enchanting light, a blinding fantasy world-
is a place where viewpoints, twisted and whirled.

The lights words spoken from an over opinionated mind-
but it is taken as the whole truth for one, and all of mankind.

Their flags are waved high, as they scream and chant=
to join with this new order of things, many just can`t.

It`s a path they want us to heavily tread-
but it`s a needle many, don`t want to thread.

With all our differences we live in a blended pot-
so to boil it too fast...we risk spoiling the lot.

The older generation think it's a movement like a hypnotising cult-
and their minds have been struck down by a thunderous lightning bolt.

The generation of now say "your way too old to understand, Mr Boomer"-
but the boomers say "your so out of touch, with no sense of humour.

the souless machine

the nighttime lights flicker to the sound
              of the machine
           like a bell
                              let it ring
            cash-ting
                              cash-ting
a lament calling that sings
          the ho-ho-ho
and then
          it explodes in colours of red and green
                  the colours that make gold

                         shinning tinsel like

all the drones stand in line
waiting for their turn to grease
the grinding wheels

 as the wheels
                 turn
 you can hear them say
            feed me

feed me
                 more
                               and
                                        more

but are they really ever satisfied?

as time ticks closer to the hour
the machine turns faster
             with its hypnotising beat

singing it`s never ending  song
to the young
                   and
                          to the old

singing it`s never ending  song
          through the ages
                    and
      across the generations

it`s hypnotising beat
          just echoes on and on

Premium MemberFrom darkness to light

Here we are, as limited body, looking
outward because senses so seduce our soul
but in doing, we assume that we are the …
   doer in this dream.

Breath by breath thus, delusion slowly deepens,
hypnotising consciousness until it so
believes that all there is to it is this form …
   darkness shrouds heart’s glow.

Fortunately, if we choose without excuse,
we may reclaim at any time, bliss rapture
if we but so steady the flame of thought flow …
   light of Self then shines.

Who we are we know this way, when we pierce the
veil of lower mind and see without mirrors,
yet the truth so voiced may be known not to mind …
   heart’s where love grazes.

Therapy with Theos

Perceive me through your senses,
Like God in the Old Testament.

Feel the warmth.
Enveloping, comforting your cold heart.
See the sand.
Shimmering, hypnotising you into a trance.
Hear the bubbles.
Stroking, nursing those half-open wounds.
Smell the tranquility.
Meditation, teleportation, unending calm.
Taste the saltiness.
Following, escorting you back home.

Or was the sea shore your home?
Or just a therapy you sought?

deep innocent eyes

I`m drowning
            drowning
                    drowning
in the eyes that are deeper
       then the deepest pool

lost inside the blue
mesmerizing waters

the hypnotising stare
soothes the rabid beasts
that roam upon a battlefield

the scars of past battles
with its once opened
       wounds
     now healed

healed from a angel
who holds a mirror
            to their soul

the heart skips
                a beat

 your tiny eyes
sparkle and shine
like stars
            upon
                 a moonlit night

day is night
and night is day

as time ticks
the flower grows
                stronger
it`s radiance
  glows ever so
                brighter
colour dances and animates
while you sing your song
only you can understand

beauty is seen through
eyes of the innocent

       your world
                  so small

Premium MemberPiquant Dilemma

we feel limited
yet rebel not
having adapted
to captivity
and so in our prison
we conjure scripts
hypnotising ourselves
into believing they’re real
and then live out our life
in a bubble of delusion

imaginary Gods
make belief devils
all created by us
become the Frankensteins
that now control us
and so in midst of abundance
we yet choose to trauma bond
with ghosts we’re accustomed to

should we laugh
or cry
at our piquant dilemma

Oh My Little Magpie

Oh dear, oh my,
You poor little magpie,
1 for sorrow is what is said,
And here you sit solo twitching your head,
For where is your sweetheart
Shouldn't you be together not apart
As the rhyme suggests
2 for joy is what comes next
Oh my, oh yes
A pair of magpies
that's whats best
Sitting together twitching your heads
Until 3 for a girl and 4 for a boy pop out their eggs,
In which case you'll need to build yourselves a pretty big nest.

Let's hope the remainder of the rhyme rings true
And your family will be blessed too
With precious metals that you'll find and fetch
5 for silver 6 for gold or so it's said to allege
the glistening so mesmerising so hypnotising
You must have it, To stash in your collection that's ever rising
Safely hidden in a location Mr magpie will not be disclosing or advertising.
Because 7 Is the secret he plans to continue hiding

Premium MemberThe Snake Charmer

As the blind-man holds out his bowl
the twisted form of beggar child
shouts out, shouts out, "please, SIR, please SIR."

"Come closer, come and hear my words;
I will for only one Rupee
age-old legends to you recite."

In the distance; far, far, I hear
distant Pungi swaying slowly
jarring, shrill, loud, hypnotising.

Moving my head towards the sound
mesmerising, I turn to leave.
"Don't go, don't go," says beggar child.

Singing; mournful, so sweet, so low;
"Creator, what was in your mind
that so made you create this world?"

Blind man begins to chant, I stop.
"just one Rupee please, SIR, please SIR."
Singing? Pungi? I sway, I swerve.

Between the two, the charmer wins.
Slither, slither towards the sound.
Not one Rupee for beggar child.

“pendulum sways gently, hypnotising
witness at the fulcrum, celebrating”

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Centred in the void
Breathing into form
Which exhales its breath
Accepted by space
Our bilocation
Questions are raised
By narrow mind
Answers given
As vibration
Ego deaf
In stupor
Ignorant
The Fairest Fowl
Epitome of ostentatious pride,
the peacock, glorious in regal stride
parades his flowing train of turquoise green.
His crowning glory bursts in bold array,
a mesmerising optical display;
the greatest pageantry there's ever been.
And then begins a courtship of romance
as eyes entice in hypnotising dance
a passing peahen dazzled by the scene.
His stunning beauty shimmers in the sun
A radiant flamboyance has begun,
Ablaze with lustrous iridescent sheen.
Seaside
Oh how I love going to the sea
The sights and sounds make me feel free
The smell is like no other scent
Exciting and new
I feel it is almost heaven sent
A walk on the sand
Is very different from land
Gentle crunching beneath your feet
Wet and sometimes dry
On it you can lie
Moving and yet supportive
Cold and sometimes hot
Lovely to experience
Go on give it a try why not
Shells on the beach
Tell their own story
Some big some small
I am intrigued by all
There are those you can put to your ear
Guess what
The sea you will hear
Different flora and fauna you will find there
Cockles and mussels
Seaweed and crabs galore
The list goes on
There is so much more
The sea itself
Depending on where you go
Will differ in ebb and flow
Some tides are gentle little waves
Others crash to the shore with a roar
Beware of the currents
Signs may say
They can carry you away
The seaview
Very new
Sometimes nothing on the horizon
It is hypnotising
All this and more combined
What more can I say
A magical place to play
Love Spell
Love Spell.
By Pippa Gray
He's the soul for which I wait.
I'll feed him darkest sabre grapes
and lead him to a bed of moss,
with velvet spread and moonstained cloths.
His sweet and salty skin I'll bathe
in goats milk and black forest oats.
His will shall loose with every sip
of rose leaf tea with calamus.
Not king, nor prince, or knight or knave,
I chant his name just all the same.
And long I’ve gazed and fed the flames
and twisted grasses to his shape. Oh,
I could reel him in like cheated fish,
hooked on twisted lines of fibs
and dragged to heel to suffocate,
a'feared  to meet his father’s fate.
But that’s for others, darker still,
who wield their wallets, pockets filled
with hypnotising sparkly bait and
wicked lures of titles gained.
No, I need only breathe and sing
into sad willows round his home,
a perfumed mist of liquorice,
the musk of me, and cinnamon.
Life:  Do you know that people love me?
Death:  Yes I know why people love you, dear Life.
Life:  Because why?
Death:  Because You dear Life are a beautiful lie.
Life:  Really!  And you, dear Death?
Death:  Well I am truth profound!
Life:  O Death, Your touch is cold yet liberating.
Death:  O Life, Your touch is warm and hypnotising.
Death completes Life. Life anchors death. Both are one.
