Skin-deep beauty, sure, is an attraction;
Perspectives, yet, must pass beyond the face.
Though fondness can tinge each human action,
Pleasure shouldn't be the goal of life's race.
As buds bloom forth into lovely flowers,
Shouldn't romance pave paths to partnership?
When companionship cools us like showers,
Compassion beads—like honey from combs—drip.
As banks of ponds and lakes of eras break,
And stagnant waters (good and bad) mingle
With streams and brooks in an unending ache...
One's deep divine self does not stand single.
Our wordless words take flight beyond the sight,
Where selfish shadows yield to infinite height.
Sweet Spot
On the ever shifting sands of time
The spectrum of human action balances
On a fulcrum between extremes:
Total government and tyranny on the Left
Zero government and anarchy on the Right,
Two ways that on paper may look good
Until practice proves them otherwise.
And in the course of this rise and fall
Systems are engineered to cope
In waves of thesis, antithesis and synthesis
Unloosed to compete for hearts and votes
In the marketplace of ideas and commerce
Seeking a sweet spot, a middle way, free of extremes
Where the individual’s rights are protected
By a limited government, from an unlimited one
And all other predatory entities.
And when this spot is tasted
Balanced for an instant
The tipping point is reached,
The teeter becomes a totter,
And we ride the cycle of up and down again
Until exhausted, defeated or victorious
And leave the playground to the next generation,
Eyes bright and eager for hope and change.
(12/15/24)
The barrier is broken
And the captive is pardoned.
The stainless blood is shed
And there’s no more a tear.
He was bruised
That we may be healed.
In our darkest and deepest despair
The Master’s love quenches all senses of fear.
Thanks to the Prince
We are no more slaves to sin.
Because of His peace
We can finally be at ease.
The battle is done and the Victory is won
Only in Christ, the True One.
From Divinity to Humanity
He offfers all Eternity.
Oh, what a Savior to behold
With such favor to adore.
Redemption and Salvation
Are His ways of Divine Compassion.
Yes, Salvation! It’s no product of human action
But made available when you make that One Decision.
The decision to make Jesus the Lord of your life, Master of your heart
And Giver of your sight.
One step away
Please don’t delay.
He’s standing at the door of your heart, fully prepared to come inside
Just When You Decide.
Sabbath Day
3rd Commandment
Sign of irrevocable covenant
Sabbath is for the Lord
Set apart for the praise of Eternal God
Rternal God’s action is the model of human action
Father Christ gives this law an authentic and authoritative interpretation
Sabbath was made for man
Not man for the Sabbath
Sabbath was declared for doing good
Rather than harm
Saving life rather than killing
A day of the Lord of mercies
A day to honor Eternal God
The Eternal Son of Man is Lord even of the Sabbath

It's like a spiritual ascent
to the life of perfection.
Like a shimmering veil,
described as emerging realignment -
between the lines of faith and action.
It's like a deep well
where the source of life depends.
On growing interest to set on a journey,
lies a strong force and the soul to be true.
It's like a foretaste of heaven
to dwell on it with happiness.
Like many pieces of literature,
they unfold realities of human struggles.
It's like poetry of the bible
that draws verses of praise, love and affliction.
Described as life's interpretation,
in today's world of culture and ambition.
It's like a thread of hidden union
that runs through contemplation.
Deep within speaks such yearning
for someone that one's heart loves more.
Over against the barriers of all sorts,
the spiritual allegory of God's Word and human action.
Behold! the pattern set for integration;
conveys harmony and love's union with our Creator.
The autonomic response seeks a trigger
within familiar brainwave states of being
to toss aside the conflict of conscience
inherit behind the valor of mortal peril.
A batting eye or moistened lip sends
corpuscles on a dance of endorphins
pattering in time to the mother pulse
that stirs the fiber of chattering bone
defiant beneath flexing musculature
soaking up lipids and protein strands
to quake the bleached core of form
that lines us erect with proud notions.
Within the field directing our gait
are ricochet messages from cohorts
and scoundrels with intent on returns
reigning dominion over human action.
The structure of the machine grinds
regardless of purpose or preference
until cellular matter loses gelatinous
resistance from such bombardment
of sigil energy and profit centers in
constant dialogue with all instincts
selectively pursuing black or white
in balance with the Boolean hoard
shaping the appropriate margins of
acceptable thought processes until
sharp knifes cure our insufferable
ideas of mitosis feeding liberation.
Chronicled as part of history
the reality gives meaning;
it's a pathway to move along,
a commitment to future dream,
a response to what is ideal.
Addressed as a piece of literature
the struggles involved with one another.
It's a life of experience that forms,
a historical menu to savor,
an enormous task to fulfill.
Lived as a language I best hear
with silence and profound meaning;
It's a human action and reaction,
a point to what we're here for;
being called to serve -
a measure to Christian perfection.
Proclaimed as a gospel of inspiration,
with diversity of cultures
that runs through this generation,
its texture, zest and color,
aptly describes, "we're one nation."
Being grateful for various reasons
with different contexts and situations.
They're hallmarks to great civilization;
with the continuing growth amid some afflictions,
a message of hope, worthy of revelation.
