Ostrich Shell : specular verse

my ostrich shell painted with

               springbok and entangled daisies

                     blowing in icy wind

I drink yolk and albuminous
               whisperings along rushing waves

                        we are soft dreams where

                               a fishing boat stood
 buildings now deserted

                               ¥

                    storehouse freshly painted in ochre
                    fishing nets drawn alleluia
                    dreams float with the sardines
                    drinking coke we celebrate catch
                    wind skips along Hout Bay shore
                    daisies clap wild petals yellow
                 shells smashed we eat boiled yolk

Premium Member So You Also Must Be Ready - Matthew 24: 44

This world promises no guarantees
for we know not how long we've got
every breath is a gift from above
till that day when we reach the final spot

When Jesus was here on earth
He clearly made His message known
that one day He'd return to judge
this world in respect as a living stone

This message clearly spoke about this
that we must be ready for His return
for whenever that happens to come about
it's ultra important to find yourself done

The Son of Man will come back
for that, there's absolutely no doubt
the hout of time will sound an alarm
to open your eyes to what it's all about

So be absolutely sure to be ready
be living for Jesus every moment
then you will know Jesus is Lord
this being what eternally will be meant

(So you also must be ready, because the Son of Man will come at an hour when you do not expect him.)

Spreading Happiness

S-hout joy.
P-aint your horizon with glee.
R-ejoice, and
E-njoy the things that you have.
A-lways find time to have fun.
D-well on things that make you glad.
I-nvolve yourself on productive activities.
N-egate negative things.
G-row enthusiastically.

H-ave yourself a treat for your feats.
A-lways strive to be better.
P-leasure yourself, not others, unless needed.
P-ast is gone, so try to forget unhappy things.
I-gnore negative people.
N-ever initiate things that compromise your peace.
E-volve as time passes by.
S-hare your blessings if you have extra.
S-mile and share your happiness.

Greet the Morn With a Smile

G-reet the morn with a smile,
L-ips that grin in gladness;
A-llowing you to say hello,
D-enying the deep cold darkness.
Y-ell with a smile in the morning, saying the grace from the sky;
S-hout and let it all out, early birds are flying high.

M-erry month of warm July,
E-very seventh early morn;
R-ise of the sun has begun,
A-ccepting the day you were born.
N-ew dawn starts to break, leaving the dusk for a while;
A-nother moment to welcome, greet the morn with a smile.

Ode To Wind

Our invisible friend, helping us without end,
Not seen by eye, even from the above sky,
Blowing plants and trees, with a naked breeze,
Leaves, branches shivering, scary as delivering,
Now and then a gust, lifting up clouds of dust,
We complain, no remorse, not knowing your source,
Not knowing your control, not respecting your role,
Without you, what a mess, life would be a major stress,
Helping our ozone, pollution blown away,
Cleaning our sky’s, in your amazing disguise,
Our life you extend, thank you, invisible friend.

Ons En Ons Grond

Ons is beskaaf, want ons kan bome af kap
en stukkies hout aanmekaar lym.
Ons is nie diere nie;
