Colors of Confusion

Colors of Confusion

Red
Orange
Yellow
Green
Blue
Blue, I feel blue as I stare into an idea confused by the new:
Divided States of America.
Formally the United States of America.
Epstein’s dead, suicide they said…
Hollywood’s elite, they are all creeps.
Antifa/BLM cynical groups that believe Police are criminals.
Trump was President, it was pinnacle; a miracle that we survived in a country divided by hate.
What is the real mission of the politicians?
It’s the have and the have not’s, the keeping up with the Joneses era.
The Carbonaro effect.
The Media implants these thoughts of sorts, controlled by technology we are robots
Looking for a hotspot, wifi, somebody let me in, let me online.
We have gone mad, it’s sad.
Slaves, modern day slaves to tik tok, instagram, Facebook, such crooks robbing us of human interactions.
What’s the attraction?

Premium MemberAugust 22 In Kc Has Been Brutal

August sizzled our eyebrows off this year
However, our barbeque places were in full gear
We ate our ribs, and yelled Kansas City Chiefs!
From the outside, however, there was no relief.
The weather has been brutal, the heat stifling and mean.
It's the worst August this hotspot has ever seen!

Premium MemberTake Me To Your Leader

UFOs have been sighted in Yorkshire,
a global hotspot it appears,
witnesses, mostly sober
to the moors and up over
have regularly seen them for years.
They all give them various descriptions,
some were captured on video tapes,
as they hovered and zoomed, no jet sound
or smoke plume,
and they come in a variety of shapes.
Several saw an enormous black cylinder
it slowly climbed up, then moved faster,
through the clouds it went scudding
like a giant black pudding
could it be Bolton has it's own NASA?
One arrived with three coloured lights, flashing,
seems like ET had finally phoned home,
as it buzzed the landscape
a triangular shape, maybe from the planet Toblerone.
Whatever these visual conundra,
their existence must convey some meaning,
I've seen them, a lot
mine are little black dots
and they tell me my glasses need cleaning.

Overworked

When Covid began I became a workaholic
No time to dally, no time to frolic
At work before the sun has a chance to rise
Coming home long after stars dazzle the skies

Three days off in a month leaves little time
Taxman will be happy I'm working overtime
Workload is temporary it will surely descend
Will buy RRSP's to avoid paying at years end

Glad to still be working when others are not
Employment in nursing homes is a hotspot
Time well spent with the elderly in dire need
Worthwhile hours I have clocked indeed

But I need to learn, how to work to live
For if I burn out I'll have nothing to give
Living to work is not much of a life at all
I will start declining shifts when they call

In a Mission To Fulfill His Passion

IN A MISSION TO FULFIL HIS PASSION
A man with a purpose
A hotspot for mental strength
Driven by great aspirations
Curious and unstoppable
Well determined and focus
Standing on a peak of tower
Gazing the world to change it
Well prepared and cognizant of time
In a mission to fulfill his passion
Using perseverance the language of time
Regardless the pain of facing the reality
To him the impossible is nothing
Your weakness is his strength
The impossibilities is his materials
To serve his purpose

Green Light

I started penning this poem with the title
               'The Hotspot'

Then after the kisses, the touches, your warmth, our moment. .....
The title changed to
               'I love' or 'I love you'

We started off with a full moon
"A bloody moon" you called it
An orange moon, I called it

And at the end of it all
The moon was still full
But this time, bright and wide
               Like our lives
Am always thankful to have you in my life

Premium MemberJourneys

Journeys begin
Watch pulse of heart;
Intent conspires

Old Casuarina tree
By school compound;
Witness to history

Stormy morning
Thunder and lightning;
Moody weather lashing

My old school dome
Now a museum;
To cement yesterday

Book shop retreat
Between covers;
Too much to know

Tour agency desk
Brisk bookings;
Now here or somewhere?

Chinatown hotspot
People congregate;
Worship by shopping

Ancestral shrine
We commune here;
Our forebears await

Clogged intersections
Crossroad commentary;
Noisy traffic jam

Premium MemberPassages Here 2

Sit here and watch
Buzz of bazaar crowd;
Adrenaline rush

Chinatown fragrance
Odd and strange;
Familiar nostalgia

Old men staring
Blank faces recite;
Long forgotten tales

Age brings unrest
Reflections on mirrors;
Stagnant marshes

When you see me
Do I see you;
Familiar shadows mingle

One by one
You pass me by;
Solitary shadow

Lonely scarecrow
Straw marionette;
Harvest leftover

Day turns to night
Day flushes night;
Royal flush again

So many empty
Taxicabs on prowl;
Missing passengers

Tourist visitor centre
Instant information;
Chinatown hotspot

Evening strollers
Dog leading owner;
Free spirited sprints

News flash: why and how
Who and where;
What happened when?
