THE MYSTERIOUS GIRL
By Radebe Diemo Glen
Hopeless, yet heartbroken, that’s when I saw her.
A girl so beautiful, so innocent – she blew my mind away,
Took my heart by storm
And left it wondering.
A sharp pang shut through my body
And made my left leg go numb.
She said one word…
It flattered me with its beauty.
I may forget what she said,
But I would still feel so bad.
I will, however, not forget how she makes me feel.
I just hope she and I have a deal.
My love for her has no magnitudes.
It drives me crazy; I’d reach all altitudes.
I hate being an abductee,
Rather I will make her my honouree.

Limericks are flowing, sitting here on my ass
Writing at a blazin' speed, pretty sure it's laughing gas
I can't keep up with me
A fast limmy honouree
Send money and I'll try to keep making you laugh

(Inspired by Demetrios Trifiatis' Woman's Day Poems)
At this ripe old age of seventy-eight
Thought girlies would no longer phase me
On the contrary, more now than ever before
A lifetime girl watchers club honouree
A member of the club of leering old men
They still turn my rusty old crank
Just because sometimes I fail to zip up
I'm still pretty alert to be frank
I admit at times I forget to wear jockeys
In combination with failing to zip up
The impact of these two glaring omissions
Cause a furor when playing mini-putt
Sure gather a crowd, thought at first it was me
My rugged good looks and stuff
Soon realized they all were focusing below
Guess it's better than playing in the buff
