Although we have taken a hit.
Our spirit remains strong.
We may falter a bit.
But we keep moving along.
Our past is full of issues we have had to face.
And we have survived each and everyone.
We find ourselves in a similar time and place.
But we will be here, once the storm is done.
This darkness, we have not seen before.
But the chaos and turmoil we know.
We must believe that we can endure.
That our fortitude will continue to grow.
Have faith in who we are, and what we can do.
When challenged, we meet it headon.
We are in this together, the many, the few.
Standing firm, we will see a new day dawn.

By dawn's early moonlight
Visual trance hides divine
In Burrow Whither Falls
Where strings denial hangs tight
River’s less than decay
Laughter’s final descent
Striping comfort torn wide
Through red sector waking
Puddles fear them coming
These live’s who burn away
Running backwards full smile
Drunk on honey and gin
Cherry trees held vacant
Around daunting screams Spring’s
Wedding gift two who’s love
Forgot headon embankment
Centers inner matter
Stricken beside forest’s
Hotel sanctum hatred
Sharing reaps sow Whisper
-Forever

When I close my eyes
to meditate
thoughts flooding
and unyielding
I see with my inner eye
the monkey mind
an incessant flurry
worry about worry
You can tame your mind
separate the observer
from the observed
two mindful parts of you
You are not your thoughts
notice then surrender
resist certainty
throwdown anxiety
Intently focus your breath
settle into self
true presence
is not in thoughts
Forget the allure of grasping
commit to ever practicing
let perfection be gone
greet chaos headon
Live the ah ha moment
some inner peace is yours
relax then let go
move to the light
