A song fades into the dark night
Song of wonder in mourning light
Breath of grace weeping silent tears
God’s love can still the flow of fears
Melodies, rich with softest notes
Gentle wings who the wind promotes
Birds praising until the storm clears

Music flows through each baptizing
Harmony that the heart reveres

HARMONIZE AS ONE
I am so glad my Savior's love
Does not give up on me
He knows my heart
And longs to set me free
Free from myself
And all its selfish whims
He daily works
To make me pure within
To transform me
Into His love divine
That through my life
His love will ever shine
He smooths the rough
Places that still remain
And softens ridges
Which may exist and stain
He only knows just
What is needing done
So He and I will

Pausing in the Park for Rain

I stand between familiar trees
That harmonize in summers breeze
And would that I could sing along
To visualize the summers song
And offer up a voice so clear
Rain clouds gather just to hear
The places where the thunder roars
As lightening offers underscores
Baptized every branch and leaf
Rewarding every plant's belief
In simple faith the trees extend
Branches to the heavens send
I stand between familiar friends
And bathe in summer showers
To harmonize within this dream
A brazen dance of cornered screams
Along a wafting, winding lane
Where melodies in concert themes
Are more than any can explain
I wander by this sad request
In minor chords and broken strings
As clarinets don’t pass the test
Among so many other things
When from the shadows comes a tune
On paisley painted violin
Now echoes from a crescent moon
Where cellos find a chance to win
My feet they move a city mile
Across the square where banners fly
And I cannot contain my smile
While rusted church bells sanctify
The streets of rice once thrown in doubt
Form petals on the cobbled ground
Where children run and parents shout
Attempts at drowning out the sound
But I, now charmed and held at bay
Sing loudly over hill and stream
As here my voice shall find its way
To harmonize within this dream
Just a bit of nonsense

Harmonized to make your heart move,
As soon as the music is meshed in with a different pitch,
The sound waves touch your ears with a different mix,
The song changes as its played,
The music is altered while the instruments remain the same,
The echo is beautiful, the words come alive,
The meaning and purpose surprises your eyes,
The heart of the song is touched in ways,
Like the oceans tide pulling in waves,
The gravity motions the water to spread,
The vibration changes the course up ahead.
