Pausing In the Park For Rain

Listen to poem:
Pausing in the Park for Rain David J Walker I stand between familiar trees That harmonize in summers breeze And would that I could sing along To visualize the summers song And offer up a voice so clear Rain clouds gather just to hear The places where the thunder roars As lightening offers underscores Baptized every branch and leaf Rewarding every plant's belief In simple faith the trees extend Branches to the heavens send I stand between familiar friends And bathe in summer showers
