breaking a new idea wide open
dazzling myself with anticipation of possibilities
futuristic particles of hope pour into my soul
I anticipate a metamorphic change
I am transmogrified into a new me
as I let her take up residence in my brain

warmly protected by the Sun Goddess
I sleep in the sun on my couch
on my porch in the middle of God’s country
my dog and cat are snoozing at my feet
pretending they are not friends, butt to butt
we are content, feeling loved
watched over by deities who
argue over who will take the next shift
so well loved we are content
the queen of the porch growls
startling the king and I

something flying over my head;
it's not alive nor is it dead;
must be harbouring wave;
seeds of dismal caves;
raining sins wets my body;
my soul dries as my sin forgiving;

~
Silence, on waves of our tide motioned heartbeats,
cascading rhythms, a smooth metronome
Keeping this time inside blue water passions,
beneath the surface, the feelings we’ve grown
Hidden so deep in the swells of affection,
swimming the shores of a long summer’s night
Building a fortress of seashell laced castles,
sand dollar curtains to fend off the light
Running for cover as sunrise now beckons,
placing our smiles where the seas cannot gaze
Whispering secrets of coast line devotion,
harboring dreams till the end of our days
Lighthouse lit beacons now search as a witness,
beaches a’ shimmer of moon glow above
Hoisting our anchor, we share the horizons,
sailing these oceans, professing our love

Police’s loudspeaker projected all over the neighborhood.
“IF YOU ARE HARBORING A FUGITIVE, TURN
HIM IN RIGHT AWAY! THERE WILL BE NO
PUNISHMENT IF THE PERPETRATOR COMES
OUT IN THE NEXT HOUR!”
“Do you think they mean me?” my guest asked.
“Doubtful,” I told her. “You are invisible to
non-believers, right?”
Stegosaurus Faerie breathed a sigh of relief.

Harbor a soft beauty it shines with a heinous glow
All eyes exposed, my mind quivers in your sight
Your touch as gentle as even the lightest snow
Speaking shallow, I wish I never had to say goodnight
-
Broken and frail I had become in this world
Healing properties your soul hither harbor
I can barely breath my mind is now unfurled
In the nirvana of your love in word order
-
In the midst of the storm your eyes gloss
As I barely can stand to see them glisten
Embrace the depression I have in loss
Heroin bring the pad all my emotions written
-
Slice me open with the flawless hair you thread
Let the blood trickle so I can later feed
To all the others of society I've become misread
Fall deep under the Atlantic sky I proceed

Some sinister forces
would try to gain control
of what is deemed permissible.
Theirs is the moral high ground,
they maintain.
All disagreement is dismissible.
They’d train,
with discipline that’s drilled by rote,
young minds to dumbed-down
dogmatic belief,
denying what might provide antidote --
the skeptical questions that bring relief.
They’d take the dictionaries from our schools,
replace our science instruction with creed
and guarantee a future rife with fools --
a pious and uneducated breed.
Thank goodness
these disgruntled lack the wit
to cancel what the moving hand hath writ.
