Hand That Rocks The Cradle Poems | Examples

She spoke little, but said a lot,
her face had wrinkles, eyes were hot,
she walked unaided, back straight,
demeanour gentle, royal gait,
how wisdom arms women of age,
true life drama on real stage!

History has shown
though men may not own
the hand that rocks the cradle
always rules the world.

Quote Prompt II-....I have dug my way out of the ground
with palm and fist many times
                             my whole life has been
                             one burial after another
                              I will find my way
                              out of you just fine.

Hand That Rocks the Cradle

when darkness falls
shadows serenade
upon moonlit walls
and my eyes close
as i bid farewell to day

sweet dreams
cannot come
when hand from grave
rocks you back
through life's storms

i was bound to the hand
that rocked the cradle
my ship in stormy seas

slapped on the face
yet not by waves
but tasted saltwater
just the same

chilled to bare bone
then swept away
by wind of warmth
apologies?
an aftermath of storms
an unexpected pause
until the next red tide
bore my name

chained fast
to this diligent life
i longed to break free
from this anchor
that weighed me down

i swam against the tide
yet i was rocked
knocked back
through life

though tides have since parted
and seas are more calm
the taste of saltwater
still lingers
its bitterness
in my mouth

my mind
in bondage
cries out in pain
as hand from grave
rocks the cradle again

Father and Son

Father And Son

--Mirrored Refrain—

--Father and Son—

Fare thee well, to humbly exist and live for my son
If he feels blue, I’ll be his clown
Everything will be fine and dandy
As a father knows best

Mother having the hand that rocks the cradle
Father as a pillar of the home
As a father knows best
Everything will be fine and dandy

I’ll choose clothes that fit him
Among the choices to pare down
Everything will be fine and dandy
As a father knows best

Accompanying him for his first haircut with the barber
And buying for his first pocket comb
As a father knows best
Everything will be fine and dandy

Accompany him to every breathtaking ride
Share the quiver and embrace to cool down
Everything will be fine and dandy
As a father knows best

Learn the ropes and lend an ear
For life is the epitome of adventuresome
As a father knows best
Everything will be fine and dandy

The Inivisible Hand

The invisible hand that rocks the cradle
Also rocks the grave
The invisible hand of Smith’s fable
From a poor hand many gave

Sow the seed of greed
Young indeed
For this is no ordinary cow feed
But that which makes guttersnipes bleed

They suck from those that are dry
They profit even when you die

Away black fly away
Your vices I cannot say
	For God would think:
	“I should shrink
And kick your **** today”

Charlotte says away
But for pork you stay
	“After he’s done
	Put ‘em in a bun
And squash that spider today”

“Puppet master of death
Give me one more breath
	I wish to be merry
	Before the Styx ferry
And be buried with my wealth”

The hand is an apparition
But this is a superstition
	For real men drain
	their pockets in vain
To those in position

Women,March Ahead !

Sweet memories haunt me, roaming into the thoughts of my past
I scan through my life , from first to last.
Through the days of struggle, my mom held my hand
Till I grew up and on my feet could stand.
As I traveled through the interiors of the land
Through the forests and plains and fiery sand.
The sun that rose from the east looked beautiful red
But the plight of women was not as said.
Though Sania & Aishwarya have won international acclaim
We still don’t treat the girls and boys as same.
Why then should there be female foeticide
With the parents wanting to see a boy on their side.
It’s the 21st century lets not forget
Times are moving at the sped of jet.
In the name of religion and society our minds are stuck
Ethics , norms , beliefs , we have gone into the muck.
Mother, sister, wife ,daughter are a part of our life
Love, compassion, sacrifice, they have been with us through strife.
Women,rise, we are with you
There is light at the end and a morning of dew.
We will all stand and salute the girl child
For the hand that rocks the cradle, rules the world.
