The
appearing "you"
may seek a teacher
or guru to assist
in gaining a sense
of completeness
which seems
missing~~
There is a mad phenomenon
that stalks sick sad modern zest
Seek an external remedy
to remove a chronic pest
The body is a miracle
when given what it needs
But first you must remove the cause
upon which it feeds
Hey Guru mister Guru
won't you come and help me through
What you really must realise
is that the Guru is you
Prescription for the doctors
that well may preserve your life
The doctor of sunshine and also fresh air
In such abundance on this planet
these supplements are rife
The doctor of restful sleep and daily exercise
are you alerted, does it ring a bell
Adhering to these principals
will surely make you well
The doctor of non poisoned food
and clean water too
With this scope of daily living
your vitality will enlarge
No need for appointments
all provided free of charge
If you wish to commence healing
this is what to do
What you must realise
that the Guru is you
I Must've Cared
For My Soul
Near As Careless
As My Teeth.

The Heart of Devotion
Opening the heart of devotion
Veils fall away
As so many colored leaves
In the Fall.
One by one they fall
Like tears, like snow, like rays of light
Nourishing the ground
Of my heart.
Where does this love come from
And where does it go? All I know
Is that it flows in a circle, a stream, a tide
That requires just a single step to enter.

Laugh when you still can for the world will make you cry
Do something different even when you feel it’s not worth the try
Don’t be a part of some gossip where people want to pry
Words of wisdom will come to few
But from someone’s life you can pick up a cue
Live a life so simple that there is left not a single due
Sometimes it’s good to sit alone and eat
Especially when on another’s plate you would be meat
Sometimes you win, sometimes you lose, but with grace accept defeat
Many people, don’t try to please
And the crooked man’s palms don’t ever grease
With an honest penny you can live with ease
Not everyone is bold and beautiful
Its ok to be shy and dutiful
Trust me, there is a God who is bountiful
Putting you above me
Your feet at my head
Is the natural thing to do
When your mastery
Is revealed.
But it’s all relative
As you put others above you and
Others put themselves below me.
That’s why it’s called
The wheel of life.
When I step back
And my emotions settle
I see that no one is The Master
But that each can instead
Be the appropriate messenger.

A spark ignited when our paths first crossed,
Your knowledge kindled, my ignorance tossed.
From a timid flicker to a steady glow,
Our bond, like embers, began to grow.
Your wisdom blazed, a guiding light so bright,
Illuminating truths are once hidden from sight.
In learning's heart, our spirits intertwined,
A sacred fire of mentor and mind.
But time, relentless, feeds on mortal flame,
And even the wisest cannot remain.
Your light now fades, yet lingers in the air,
A warmth remembered, beyond compare.
The pyre of knowledge you so proudly built,
Now, it smoulders low, leaving me with guilt.
For lessons missed and questions left unasked,
As twilight falls on your final task.
In ashen whispers, your teachings persist,
Through smoky memories, too precious to resist.
Though you are gone, your spark lives on in me,
A flame of wisdom, burning ceaselessly.
Your absence chills, yet warms me all the same,
For in my heart, you're an eternal flame.
I tend this ember, with reverence and care,
Honouring the light we used to share
The guru chakra is the master’s seat
Positioned between our crown and third eye
As of God’s will, he regulates bliss heat
Teaching our presence how to wingless fly
Our master represents the light of God
He erases our doubts and all our fears
The day ego dies in mind-body pod
To our dismay, our teacher disappears
As we ascend, all that is, is one light
We are the drop and we are the ocean
Entwined with oneness, we garner clear sight
Breath by breath savouring love’s bliss potion
The seeker who sought, no longer exists ~
Yet the after burn of rapture persists
The leader, philosophical and wise,
Ends his speech after a long silent pause,
His true followers with half open eyes
Responding with admiring oohs and aahs.
Turn up the mic on the silence to hear
A leader's lust for worship and control,
Minds whirring like a quickly turning gear,
'Bout how what he said put them in this hole.
Hear tapping ant feet, a drumroll will grow
Til it reaches a thousand decibels;
But, are they coming to pay tribute? - no!
They're here to eat him with ant mandibles.
Great guru, great king, try this on for size -
A lengthy silence is not always wise.
USA busway
East Coast to West Coast
Greyhound Bus vision
Lots of scenery in reason
It took four days
Hour by Hour
Time didn’t sour
That is what I call a vacation getaway
I reclined and was relaxed
No stress nor perplexed
Major cities and towns stopped along the way
No carry nor care in being estray
The hound bus with the scent for the open road
It was the scenery through the picture windows that unfolded
Hound bus headlights at night being the guide
Ever so close to the destination ride
The thought of “Get in touch with America up close”
Mountains high and wide
Taking the highway in stride
Boldness of America
Another thought of GO WEST YOUNG MAN
Took a chance and did just that
I can surely contest
Pure travel my confess
From the East to West
Adventure says it best
Journey in and out
That’s how my East Coast and West Coast about.
the Guru chakra throbs steadily
reassuring heart and gentling mind
soma nectar trickles, pheromones mingle
our pristine presence is with existence aligned
the vertical magnetic grid, over front and back
petal by petal, unveils its beauteous hues
all soul does is witness the unfoldment
bliss the flavour of our heart’s muse
He is a guru the other ducks said
Sitting there in silence like stop sign red.
Are you sure he’s okay? I think he looks dead.
Shhh! They told the brown goose named Old Fred.
Why are his fingers put into circles like that?
We are unsure said a dog, a mouse and a cat.
Animals were coming all over to take a big peek.
The guru mallard finally gave up and left Bogger’s Creek.
Guru chakra announces the master’s presence
Subtle, soft, humming tingling, rapture ineffable
Joyous peace, infused by sublime bliss incense
In-form nodes entwine in intimate dance affable
It is here wherefrom love magnetism is regulated
Constant flux of soma nectar within body flowing
Dormant conduits spring to life feeling now elated
Thoughts recede and heart’s aura begins glowing

When blackened at that time,
as the fate of this country,
In the Dai Nippon colonial era,
the baby was born.
Childbirth is true fate.
breastfeeding as God's gift,
laudatory nature and remarkable deeds.
Nothing for partus sequitur ventrem,
children born not to slaves.
Mom, who nine-monthed him,
happy and grateful.
The baby was exceptional.
The Colonial Army never sets claws,
unexpected obstacles,
grounding and sinking.
Where?
Who?
Naqaba, walked,
followed a narrow path.
The Guru,
Sekumpul.
Guru Purnima
Day set aside to honor gurus
but I have so many
where would I begin?
I meet them daily
strangers whose eyes tell a story
beggars who enlighten me
life’s partners
I learn from the songbirds
the turtle crossing the road
the playful chipmunks
each being teaches me something
I learn how to listen to my heart
I learn how to follow my soul
I learn how to still myself
gurus are all about me
they come to me in my meditations
they enlighten, uplift and validate me
I meet them daily
in my silent self
