Summer breeze whispers God’s great love
Along His fatherly, kind stare
Assuring mighty mercy’s care
Reaching, drawing nigh from above!
Refrain:
Summer breeze whispers God’s blessings*
Blowing warmth of His compassion
Pouring grand supplies’ provision
Melting heart’s coldness-oppressings!
Summer breeze whispers God’s presence
Caressing with gracious guidance
For faith-fueled wise performance
Midst cheerful day’s iridescence!
Summer breeze whispers God’s sweet peace
Brushing away sorrow’s turmoil
Quieting hurting qualms that spoil
Vanquishing soul’s grumblings to cease!
Refrain:
Summer breeze whispers God’s blessings
Blowing warmth of His compassion
Pouring grand supplies’ provision
Melting heart’s coldness-oppressings!
*Deuteronomy 28:2 And all these blessings shall come on thee, and overtake thee, if thou shalt hearken unto the voice of the LORD thy God.

Gladly, I greet the gristmill guard:
…..“God is good!”*
Governed am I by this goal in the granary:
…“Grind the golden grains gaily!”
Gallantly, I am gripped with grace-greatness:
…“Garner gems of generosity!”
Geared am I to grasp by grueling guaranty:
…“Gird-up for next generation-grants!”
Gazing at goodness-gleam, I glow with grandeur:
…“Glare at greediness; guard against gloom!”
Grieved am I with grimes of guile:
…“Get away from gruesome graft!”
Gradually, I go for growth as glorious gristmill:
…“Gain from glamor-gleanings!”
Gently, I grab gear-ups and give up garbage:
…“Goodbye grumblings and grudges!”
*Psalm 73:1 Truly God is good ... even to such as are of a clean heart.

First weekend of the summer when they're calling for no rain
It's almost August, the forecasters it must find it quite a strain
Hearing all the grumblings
Someone's been fumbling
Trusted with the forecast, have they been smoking up again???

I forgot to express gratitude
For the lovely green garden which I had
As the seeds which I planted were of lack
Though gradually the trees grew big and tall
But did not bear any flower and fruit
The feeling of lack
And the feeling of gratitude
Can not go hand in hand
So had I grumblings
And began to complain
The tress shed their leaves
And I went restless and became pale
But when in despair I gave up
And buried all expectations
Slowly, I saw, the garden returned into green
I thanked a lot in gratitude
In turn trees bore in plenty flowers and fruits.

My tummy speaks fluent Bowelanese
Every morning before my brekkie
Informing me in no uncertain terms
It needs more nourishment by heckie
It has quietly fasted all night long
Now wide awake looking for grub
Wonder what the consequences are
If I don't send some down from above
Tummy grumblings are quite universal
From the Aloha State to Timbuktu
Queens are known to have 'em at times
Followed by a Royal Fart or two
I guess that sounds a bit irreverent
But hey, Queens are people just like us
The only real difference is however
They can sit at the front of the bus
Now getting back to Bowelanese
A language even mentioned in Macbeth
Just lift one cheek and then the other
To release the body's excess

I will live my life my way
Remain steadfast till my hair turn gray.
I will remain adamant;
Tell the girl I love how beautiful she is.
I will walk the street
Cleanse it of its filth.
I will visit a neighbor
Lend them a hand when they are in need.
I will,
Yes I will.
Watching through my window sill,
I will send you messages to heal
And get to your door when you are ill.
A life I will
Learning to be the people’s man
Telling the people yes we can,
Having so much for our stomache’s fill.
Tell the whirlwind to remain still
Tell the tide to let the ocean be
And tell the earth to remain calm
We want none of its grumblings beneath our feet.
No more will I be scared of you
Or will I fall on bended knees-
Begging you to let me be.
I will walk straight in front of you
Beat my chest, and call your bluff.
I will wake to the crow of the cock
Every moment with the thought of death.
I will remain willful and wise
Lending a hand to wipe the world of filth.
Like the iroko tree I will remain strong
Never resigning to the cruel hands of defeat.

The piano grumbled at his touch,
Playing fortissimo on command...
Nerves of steel snapping a string.
Ambitious to a fault, practicing the night into alarm,
Lizst spilled from the printed page
Like sour milk for a feral cat.
As he rose from the bench, music in hand,
An audible whispered relief rustled the curtains
And silence cradled the grateful room.
