People come and people go
and how the times do change
but something here needs to be done
it should be rearranged
preachers pundits politicians
won't ever set things right
the man in the street can make a difference
if he takes up the fight
so many souls lost at sea
tho' they're on dry land
action speaks louder than words
they need a helping hand
and I'd rather see one good deed
putting things back on track
than hear one more kind word
a verbal pat on the back
I prefer to see
one good deed done willingly
lip service carries no weight at all
none whatsoever with me

The Governor's name was Bob Neville
Who was known as a civic devil
But through deified greed
Never did a good deed
I don't think he was on the level

Sometimes it’s obvious
And sometimes subtle
That no matter what good you try to do
The universe rewards you with the opposite.
It might be as simple as the duality we create
By such intentions;
A materialist mindset
That falls into a Newtonian universe
Of every action needing
An equal and opposite reaction.
Bound by these rules of physics
The road to hell
Is certainly paved.
While beyond these rules
The wise and masterful play.
The problem is
Within the bounds of materialism
We are all slaves
Ruled by our own fears and hopes
Narrowly following our individual paths
Heads down
Our persistent plodding
The very force that turns the grind stone.
While beyond these rules - the etiquettes of a guest
Needing permission to sit and stay, come and lay down -
The host in all His graciousness
Allows us the freedom to be enslaved.

Perhaps the greatest good deed
the world so urgently needs
Neglected act of crystal clarity
its once ubiquitous name is charity

Reward follows in ways you never expect
When you have done the right thing, my friends,
For a good deed or a kind word will not go
Unrecognized, and the ripple from it never ends.

He raced confidently forward.
The adults seemed indifferent.
I had tripped and the hard fall
knocked me unconscious.
He turned me over and grabbed
the belt around my waist.
With man-strength he lifted me,
forcing air into my lungs.
I stood, wiping dirt from my face
and dusting off my clothing.
I dabbed a few bleeding scratches
And shoved my hair behind my ears.
The adults went about the chores
they’d been performing.
I was seven. He was twelve.
My hero. My brother.

I taught my friend
the lyrics of a Song,
From a Movie she
didn't know
had any.
She died
She was in her
Coffin.
She was smiling.

Try to do good
Smile. Be nice
When asked for a favor
Don't have to think twice
I 'm charitable, generous
Believe that kindness is key
Trust good karma is cyclical
It'll come back to me
But disillusion and pain
Is all I get in return
Lies and backstabbing
Somehow tables get turned
I'm portrayed as a villain
That I am to blame
For all your misfortune
It's part of your game
You play on my sympathies
Take advantage of me
Then twist and manipulate
Rewrite history
You are the reason I can't trust a soul
Why I hide in the darkness
I'm always alone
I'm tired with hurting
Done being played
Lost faith in everyone
Always feeling betrayed
But you are the farmer
You watered this seed
No good deed goes unpunished
You did this to me

Back when McGee was a fireman
A fairly long time in the past
He thought he'd go for a little walk
And feeling quite up to the task
That was until he saw a site
That was cute in a curious way
There he was , that little boy Shawn
Playing as he did everyday
But this time he sat in a wagon Bright Red
With a ladder tied to the side
And a hose he held very tight in his hand
As a dog and a cat pulled his ride
So McGee played along, and said "Hey there, Chief,
That's a fine fire engine for sure
But I notice your team is unevenly yoked
It's Ok though, cause I have the cure
I see that the rope that's tied to the dog
Is cinched to the collar 'round his neck
But the rope's 'round the testicles of the poor cat
The problem is this I suspect"
Then McGee started switching the rope on the cat
To his collar to equal the chore
But Shawn stood up and protested loudly
"So, I won't have a siren no more"

You know what they say.....
"No good deed goes unpunished."
I love you, cared for your every whim
kept you sheltered, rains may have come, but
I was there, keeping you warm, content.
Seeing that you succeed, thinking ahead,
for meeting your every need.
I remained after everyone else had abandoned you,
left you blue, cried with you, held you up, loved you more,
Straightened things that were crooked, restored you.

SAY ADIEU TO EUROPE AS IT EDDIES TO THE DRAIN
THE DEMISE WILL BE SLOW WITH BLOOD WITH PAIN
THERE IS AN INVASION ALL EUROPE IS UNDER SIEGE
BY DEDICATED JIHADISTS DISGUISED AS REFUGEES
THEY WILL SLOWLY COLONIZE INTO URBAN CENTERS
OBEYING SHARIAH DEMANDED BY THEIR MENTORS
THEY WILL REFUSE TO ACCEPT LOCAL TRADITIONS
AMASS LARGE AREAS FOR ISLAMIC IMPOSITIONS
ESTABLISH NO GO ZONES TABOO FOR THE LOCALS
CALL TO PRAYER RITUALS WITH ARABIC VOCALS
ONCE SETTLED WILL COME CONSTANT AGITATIONS
CAUSING RIOTS AND UNENDING PROVOCATIONS
AVOIDING BEING CALLED RACIST LOCALS CEDE
YIELDING TRADITIONS TO SATE INVADERS’ NEED
LOOKING AROUND OSLO YOU’LL THINK ITS IRAN
WHERE HAVE ALL THE FLAXEN HAIRED BEAUTIES GONE
THEY’RE IN HIDING AVOIDING THE LEWD FOCUS
OF MEDIEVAL SAVAGES THE MODERN DAY LOCUSTS
EVENTUALLY THE LOCALS WILL BECOME AWARE
BUT IT MAY COME LATE FOR THOSE IN DESPAIR
IMPORTANT TO RECOGNIZE GENEROSITIES WOES
OFFERED TO INGRATES THAT ARE IDEOLOGICAL FOES
HOUSING, FOOD AND FREEDOM IS OPENLY FURNISHED
A JOYOUS SPIRIT OF GOODWILL FOREVER TARNISHED

By Elton Camp
The words of Jesus, Chef Arnold tries to heed
By actions, the hungry, homeless ones to feed
Words alone to the needy, Jesus did condemn
For the hungry, words won’t do good for him
Fort Lauderdale proclaims such as a No! No!
To give them food must not continue to be so
However, Chef Arnold at ninety years old
Refuses to kowtow and to do as he’s told
Gourmet food the chef prepares free
But the cops just won’t let him be
The kind man ticketed for a law violation
Is a sight that has disgusted the entire nation
Such a lack of compassion is surely a shame
Rightly besmirches Fort Lauderdale’s name
(Google it and see for yourself)

Donate a dollar,
Paint the sky,
Adopt a pet,
Oh my!
Share with another,
Give a bit of happiness,
Help an elder,
We'll eradicate the sadness.
Talk to the lonely,
Help the frail,
Be brave,
Let a mind sail.
Teach something new,
Give a new child,
Cry for an old life,
Go a little wild!
Love with a heart,
Create with passion,
Share with joy,
Show your emotion!
Someday, we'll all be okay,
So let's patiently wait for that day.

When Sherri was a little girl
a baby crow fell out of the tree
and being my little tomboy
she said "Leave this up to me".
So up the tree she climbed
to put little "Elvis" back in his nest.
Mama crow did not appreciate it
and became somewhat of a pest.
When the rest of us walked outside
she just gave us the evil eye
but for Sherri she had other plans,
dive-bombing her from the sky.
Whichever door she left by
that crow was watching for her
and dived and pecked at our little girl.
The ungrateful, miserable cur.
No good deed goes unpunished
is a saying we've all come to know.
Intended perhaps for humans
but it certainly relates to a crow.
