Love can be such a gol darn pain
A delicious delectable pain
With a large helping of hugs and kisses
It can just about drive you insane
More than once I heard someone ask
Is it really worth all the trouble
You better believe it, at twice the price
Nothing else bursts my bubble
You sweat and mumble incoherently
To concentrate, it's really no use
Useless as dangly things hanging from a bull
Totally and so udderly obtuse
So what can you do if you get infected
Well there's really no known cure
Just dive right on in, swim around for a while
You'll wanna stay I'm pretty sure
Let me know how that all works out
Many have tried, it's well known
Never were cured, spend a lifetime in love
Now resting comfortably in a home

Everything Glitter ain't Gold
Have you ever did art ???
Not just a craft
Did you use the patterns to direct your path
Did you give detail
Or was it basic
With the world we live In
Can you take it
Have you ever heard the phrase
The grass ain't always greener on the other side
Is it just a phrase
Or something applied
Applied for you to get it right
You don't have forever
To get it together
Everything glitter ain't ?? gold
You are in control (control)
Everything glitter ain't gol ?? You are in control
You ever check your surroundings
Or who you are surrounded by
Ever question yourself why?
Why are certain people in your circle ?? ?? ??
Do they mean you any good
We all understand
But want to be understood
Understood of the plan
God got over my life
I really want to get it right
Everything glitter ain't ?? gold
You are in control (control)
Everything glitter ain't gol ?? You are in control
Glitter glisten
Pay attention
Glitter glisten
Pay attention
Everything glitter ain't ?? gold
You are in control (control)
Everything glitter ain't gol ?? You are in control

Futebol é assim;
Piscou o olho

Amaciante nela...

Pediu pipoca

Gol...

Ficante quer pipoca...

In years gone by, folks didn’t like to say
God’s name to show surprise or great dismay,
and so you would hear “Goodness,“ “Gol” and “Gee,“
and also euphemisms for J.C.
Jiminy Cricket! Doesn’t that sound nice?
Jeepers Creepers, Jason Crisp or Cheese and Rice?
Godfrey Daniel! Surely you know that
is slang for God and “God rot it” is “Drat!”
“Oh my gosh,” “My goodness,” or simply “Lord”
replaced expletives that today come poured
from mouths of kids who can’t be mannerly
to just say “Leapin‘ Lizards“ or “Golly Gee!”.
You’ll hear (for damning something with God’s name),
“Dag nabbit” and “Dad gum.” They might seem tame
but fit the bill and give us a small thrill!
But dang it, why would someone say “Sam Hill?”
Words from the Holy Bible we enjoy
employing when we say Holy Moley,
Holy cow, Judas Priest (but WAIT!)
For Pete’s Sake! How did Judas ever rate?
Great Scott, there’s even Jumpin’ Jehosophat!
How the HECK did they ever come up with that?
By Jove, I’m nearly finished. Now pretty please. . . .
Instead of using Christ’s name, just say Jeeeeez!

Well dang and gol darn
She sure got some charm
This dream walking down the street
Into a pole I smashed
My old bean gets mashed
Hurt bad for the love of Pete
She helps me get up
I thrill to her touch
Suddenly my head no longer hurts
As I'm getting to my feet
I'm given a big treat
Viewed her assets as the wind blew her skirt
Think I'll try that again
Gotta wait until when
A gorgeous young female approaches
Crash into a pole
This pretty young soul
Says, “Too many scotch and sodas?”
Well so much for that
Fell right into the trap
Those girlies are smart little cookies
Won't try that again
It's a dangerous game
Serves me right for checking out their goodies

Today's a busy busy bustling day
Three days before the big one
A bunch of last minute stuff to take care of
Wonder if I'll ever be done
Panic has a real tight hold on me
Did I buy enough cranberry sauce
Is the turkey big enough for all these folks
Got my toes and fingers crossed
Hope the weather certainly holds out
Could be more of that freezing rain
If it does get real bad, it's better to cancel
Driving can be a dangerous game
Well here's hoping it all runs smoothly
And all goes off without a hitch
Seems I developed a strange new affliction
It's a gol dang nervous twitch

No tickee, no washee
You pay as you go
There are no free rides
As everyone knows
Yet some people try
Their gol' darn best
To beat the system
Get ahead of the rest
Like everyone else
They must play by the rules
Do they think we're all
Just a bunch of old fools?
To take advantage
Of us trusting souls
That way of thinking
Is all full of holes
Writing us off
Would be quite premature
We've still got the smarts
And that is for sure
We may appear stodgy
And slow to react
But years of experience
Has taught us the knack
Of dealing with shysters
And disreputable felons
These guys are operating
With screwed up melons
They'll get their comeuppance
One day down the road
When they meet their maker
And have to unload
And explain why they acted
So poorly down here
They won't have excuses
For not playing fair
Banished to purgatory
And left there forever
To never experience
Heaven's glorious weather
No tickee, no washie
A familiar old refrain
From the beginning of time
The rules are the same
Treat fellow beings
With love and respect
You'll get back in spades
The admiration you expect

I don’t remember
much about the day the deer jumped
the fence and broke its neck.
Late summer and I inhaled
the plump morning air—red
apples, brown
sugar and grass, my
pudgy feet padding the damp
linoleum squares
where sunlit streams flooded gol-
den through the yawning kitchen window.
And out that window, just beyond
the five-foot chain link line,
an antlered buck
lay, his great head twisted
toward an ‘appled’ sky.
Then my mother
a steam kettle whist-
ling “look away! look away!” “look away!”
and my father’s whispers
thick curtains closing
on the jagged red light rising.
