Go out into Nature every day
By Michelle Morris

Lying in the grass
Surrounded by tiny daisies
I feel like I'm part of this spell
Here where Nature plies Her Magic
Here where the soil is cool
And the grass is verdant
Bees are humming
And birds are cheerful
Every single atom and creation
In this magnificent life force around me moves
And expands into its own Timeline
By being still and allowing Grace
The Magic beckons us to Believe
In Fairies and Magical Beings
In God's Universe infinitely spectacular
In Knowing we are part of the Mystery
So, commune with God and His Angels
Be at One with your Higher Self
Let that Stillness inspire your Soul
Allow your Healing Journey to be deeply felt
Go out into Nature every day
Be bathed and protected by Her bountiful arms
Notice the blooms and the wildlife
Know you're exactly where you belong

scant moon -
lullaby’s a whisper.
sleeps soon,
after mother’s kissed her.
moon high,
over dusk-hue passion.
I sigh
with twilight’s compassion.
peeking
between the pines, her eyes
streaking.
winsome drive - crescent dives.
descent,
of what’s left, of the moon.
advent
of season, coming soon.
Christmas,
aft will bring a moon, black.
snow sass
in cul de sac.

In the calm of evening's hush, a storm descends,
Electric charge in the air, a dance of shadows blend.
As I place my dinner in the microwave's gentle hum,
A flicker, a spark, and darkness comes.
The lights go out, a sudden shroud of night, Inconvenience strikes, a fleeting blight.
In this temporary loss of light,
A moment to pause, to reflect, to sit tight.
Amidst the silence, a chaos storm unfurls,
Nature's fury unleashed, the power of the world.
As I wait, in stillness and in darkness,
I find a different kind of calm.
For in this darkness, a quietude is found,
A reminder of the fragility that surrounds.
The simple act of microwaving my meal,
Now a dance with nature's hidden appeal.
So as the storm rages, and the lights remain out,
I find solace under candle light, a peaceful hum so I write.
A poetry of inconveniences, a lesson to heed,
In moments of disruption, there's still beauty to feed.

My beautiful little bluebird
How I love you so
I long to taste your presence
And what it means to know
That you and I are singing songs
Far into the night
We fade into each other
Desire burning bright
In a dream it's you and me
There's no one else around
Our synchronistic breathing
Is the only sound
In sotto voce I call out
Your name into the void
Only you can hear it
An audible Polaroid

no doubt i was there
but he went into the building
he stood in front of people
my lips moved
and i heard what he said
but that cheese and pickle sandwich,
i ate that
because i was hungry
it was him who knocked on the door
and made an announcement -
and left
i'm looking up award-winning pillow sprays
feather & down
sweet dream
clutching electronics
he'll be there
and i'll be there
but elsewhere
imagining being on a 75km
walk around Windermere
are you on your own just shouting?
goodnight gorillas
in the mist

No matter who you are
Be dancing star
Get on the floor
Do some more
Maybe free landing
.never stop prancing
We all die this no lie
Go OUT DANCING

Know that if you go out of your way
Showing just a little bit of kindness
That kindness will always you repay
Know that deep within you will bless
Might not be shown for quite a while
Nothing can beat a satisfying smile

Dancing
In the cut of the sun
We don't go out anymore
Honey coated air
Swirling silence
Beckoning an empty mind
Lie still always fleeting
Like a memory
Roaming through echos
Of an ode to holding you
So close to quell familiar
Thoughts of diffidence
I desire to feel muted
Like curtains drawn
As I pray the haze of morning
Dew-like molasses dripping
So the day holds
Just a little longer
So we don't go out
I yearn for a quiet love
Beneath these blankets of
Tangled flesh

Let's go to park
Daily by walk
We shall talk
of birds in flock
and dogs that bark
Until the dark
Let's go to Lake
To see the crakes
the floating ducks
and their darling chicks
And sing quack quack quack
till the sky goes black
Get out of the chair
Let's go somewhere
to breath fresh air
and to do some dare
For nature is a cure
if only we care

snow and ice
wind chill
seeing my breath
slippery driveway
scared to leave
no problem; lots of provisions
dog refuses to go out
decides to hold bladder all day
I roll my eyes
cat takes a step
backs up
when did we get so prissy?

the end of time is near
there'll be no heeding reason
come out to play
bring us your sick
so we may dance and carry on
stare danger in the face
we’ll rally it’s our right
our claim to fame and glory
join us we will not live in fear
the end of time is here

When I go out to speak,
I mean to be heard,
giving voice to the spoken word.
I am one of many,
one of the chosen few,
of a distinguished crew.
Poets who answered the call,
Wordsmiths, Storytellers
Versifiers, master mighty mouth
Manipulators and speakers of the truth.
Ladies and gentlemen,
Young and old alike.
Tonight, those of us
who are not wrapped too tight.
Can only hope to hold your attention,
With a world’s fair of the words.
Whenever we choose
to stand and vent.
It is a poetic expressions event.
We dim the lights
in someone’s living room.
Appear in the middle of a café
sometimes with a Dee Jay.
Making our stand accompanied by a band,
in the spotlight on stage.
Or in the middle of Bookstores,
Bars and Restaurants.
Standing on a soapbox
in New York’s Time Square.
That’s right I’ve been there.
Poets everywhere at some point
Stand on a rock and scream
at the world.
To say or to convey,
To spit or express
To give nothing less
Than their very best.
When we go out to speak,
We mean to be heard,
Giving voice to the spoken word.
