*"Romance is the glamour which turns the dust of everyday life into a golden haze." — Elinor Glyn

Romantic Love
Glowing like the dazzling distant full moon
And gifted with a sincere spotless soul,
With her heart like spring flowers in full bloom
She shines with sparkling smiles like refined gold.
She ever tweets like a charming sweet dove
To express the depth of her inner feel
And sincerely sings solemn songs of love
From the very depth of her heart with zeal.
Though imbued with a soft tinge of shyness
Yet, her image fans the wings of my soul,
Dispels dreary darkness of loneliness
And ever renders me a complete whole.
She is and shall be the cause of my life
Until the very last breath I shall strive.
Today is St David’s Day here in Wales
Dydd Dewi Sant is what we say
Images it doth portray
Of national dress worn upon this day
St David was a teacher and ascetic
Founder of the monastery Glyn Rhosyn*
Upon his death the fellow monks said
these special words I have chosen
Brothers be ye constant.
The yoke which with single mind ye have taken
bear ye to the end; and whatsoever
ye have seen with me and heard,
keep and fulfil."

Emotion - Historical
Oh! Pwyll, lord of Dyfed, sounded his horn,
At Glyn Cuch, while hunting early morn,
The hounds were baying through the woodland glade,
And Pwyll could hear other dogs drawing near,
When he spied a stag standing in the shade,
He saw the dogs with hair of shining white,
With glistening ears of deep crimson red,
That pulled down the deer in the pale dawn light,
And Pwyll, he wanted to claim that stag’s head.
He saw off the dogs with his words of scorn,
And called his hounds who his voice obeyed,
And there they set upon the fallen deer,
As Pwyll watched, a horseman came into sight,
To look on the princely son of Dyfed.
