Fragility is quite a strength
just as the crucial bumblebees’ breath
Perhaps not only titularly
gentleness is stronger than severity . . .
Channeling Emily Dickinson : To be a feather in a holocaust
– hope, sewn in the soul, sings the song needed most
A minor thought on regeneration : To regrow the leg the mantis lost
– a marvel on a molecular level - most miraculous
Of majestic beauty : To behold the fragile snowflake - winter’s impetus
– intricate masterpieces exist in the microscopic and minutest
Plant power is undisputed : To reap lemongrass’ healing gifts
– behold a beloved botanical treasure of abundant benefits
Quantity trumps quality when better suited : To cut out the mountains through erosive agency
– water as a weatherer works wondrously
Sources of energy : From the brilliant and prodigious mitochondrion - a natural wonder
to the multifaceted palm frond - suitable as tinder
It can certainly be said that, in the slight
one can perceive preternatural might
So, as the Scots say, “while we breathe we hope”
and our delicate operatives firmly stay a-float
Chromatic echoes across the walkways;
lamplight casts its hues amid the leaves
revealing the laughter of its spectrum.
Walking together amid the cooling raindrops,
ecstatic vibrance lifts the spirit;
showering respite.
Serenity is nature-induced bliss,
bliss of gentle color-kiss.
Kiss that sets the soul alight,
alight in its ecstatic flight.
Flight like birds upon the wing,
wing away in song of spring.
Spring will smile like waxing moon,
moon of planting in full-bloom.
Blooms of cereus in full flowers,
flowers scent wafting through bowers.

What Brings You Peace Poetry Contest
Chantelle Anne Cooke
Passion never spent, a touch of diaphanous breeze embraces me, as your sinew envelops my heart, like the caress of a Mother for her newborn. Whisper your songs to my soul. From childhood, I heard your call.
whispers
on gentle winds
two hearts
Safety, sentinel strong; earth child’s embrace, soft of wisp and bold of face. My timeless sage in unyielding watch; a trusted guardian, decades old; timeworn teacher from my youth. I revisit your embrace, like a cloak of security for my tortured soul.

wisdom bestowed
Arthritic limbs and digits ache from the frigidity of endless seasons and I sit beneath you for comfort from my suffering; forgive my insolence, elder one. My heart bleeds for you, my friend. Though lightning’s seared your digits black, you remain vigilant against the raging tempests which disrupt our earthly lives.

Observe the wonders as they occur around you. Don't claim them. Feel the artistry moving through and be silent. Rumi
Fog came in its gentility
Sun in predictability
Cast its radiant light
The sun's sustainability
Touched damp fog's great fragility
With its powerful might
