Premium Member gel pen teaches me a lesson

a gel pen glides on paper effortlessly
It gives a crisp dark line
a marvelous device for writing poems
I have learned one lesson about gel pens

although, they are marvelous on paper
do not expect them to outline your paintings
I had always used markers until last week
Why not use pen? I wondered

forgetting it is not a ballpoint
it is a gel pen
as I added paint to my canvases
the gel pen turned into black streaks

not only were the outlines gone
my paint was dirty
lesson learned
the hard way
the way I seem to learn most lessons

There Are Things You Do Not Sell

There are things you don’t sell
Or else ‘You and The Cell’
Or you for the same sale,
For The Same shall you sell,
Aside waving The Cell

I know An Evil Bell
That tolled The Faintest Knell
But An Ancestral Yell:
As old as Satan’s Hell…

And things you dare to sell
And, soon, you’re The Unwell,
Yesterday, The Quite Well,
Today under a spell:
A metallic god’s pail
Neared not by A Female
And touched not by A Male
And some Mark said to fail

By choosing to it sell
And, just like that, turned pale
And fast began to ail
And the next day fell!

Some things vow to not sell:
I’m including Mum’s Gel
You would waste and won’t tell;
It mustn’t be Heirloom
With all its Hidden Gloom
And hateful Waiting Doom
For The Old and In-Bloom.

When Mad Mitch was feeling mucky
Donald Trump went to Kentucky
Trump's horrorscope said,
"You're still in the red
But right where some studs get lucky!"

Raccoon gel, Raccoon gel, have you kissed the raven?
How is it my woolly mother, he is not clean -shaven
Raccoon gel, Raccoon gel, how smelly wool witch?
How is it my woolly mother there is no Quid ditch
Raccoon gel, Raccoon gel, let down your hair
How is it my woolly mother, the Prince is not fair
Raccoon gel, Raccoon gel, have you cooed the cat?
How is it my woolly mother I have broken his bat
Raccoon gel, raccoon gel, have you seen the queen?
How is it my woolly mother I have no kits-twin.

Gel-Pen

False cheer shines through the glittery red ink,
Letter after colourful letter,
Hopes and dreams are drained down the sink,
Letter after colourful letter...

Dead inside is this empty life of lies,
Letter after colourful letter,
Woods are filled with broken cries
Letter after colourful letter...

'Tomorrow' will never come, hope will never shine,
Letter after colourful letter,
I will never be fine-
Letter after colourful letter...

A flutter of hope, sputters and dies
Letter after colourful letter.
The smiles of the gel-pen always lies
Letter after colourful letter.

Gel Bana

Misafirim sana
Cicek kokmus
Carsaflar sensiz
Hasret duram duram
Gel bana yar.

Kuralim gecenin atesini
Tutustursun bahcelerde
Hasatin atesi sevgi
Kukresin ay sevdaya hasret
Gel bana yar.

Titressin ne varsa
Yurusun hep bir agizdan
Erisin volkan
Denizin dipinde
Gel bana yar.

Acilmamis bahcelere
Olum yurumesin
Su buyumesin
Dogdugum koyume
Gel bana yar

Nature Gel

Gel,
densely,
with your nature,
identify it before you do!
