Premium Membergadgets in a Doctors office

all the gadgets on the doctor’s wall
are tempting me, calling me honey
I want to play with them, and I mean all.
But if I break them, they’ll cost me money.

Real Freedom

In spite of celebrating our seventy-fifth Independence Day,
Our actual freedom is still miles away.
Freedom lies in our ability to breathe fresh air.
Freedom is the ability to show our love and care.
We are truly free when we are not hiding behind a mask.
Wearing an ugly face mask for hours together is not an easy task.
We are free when we go with our family on a pleasure trip.
We are free when we liberate ourselves from the smartphone's grip.
The Corona Pandemic has left us jobless for a while.
Nevertheless, we continue to eat, sleep and live in style.
Television has managed to invade our lives.
We watch idiotic serials featuring squabbling husbands and Wives.
News channels broadcast political thrillers.
Their debate shows are real mood killers.
Children have almost forgotten their way to their schools.
Laptops and mobiles are now their learning tools.
We will only be free when we get rid of this viral disease.
Our freedom is ensured when the acts of terrorism cease.

An Afterthought

January third; almost an afterthought
The post Christmas and New Year sort
My thoughts are with you, in heaven above
At the right hand of the Father, Son and Dove

This world has changed too much
We are connected but out of touch
What would you feel, about how we live?
Pretending, we have no time to give

We are on our gadgets these days
No time to catch the sun's rays
No card, no gift again this year
That you will be hurt, I have no fear

It is your birthday, Mother dear
How I wish you could be near
I would have bought you a pen this time
To grade the quality of my love of rhyme

Gadgets

Village full of boys and girls playing
strong arms around waist romancing
old friends on porch with guitars singing
merry farmers on green hills harvesting
not a bird on trembling wire singing
grabbed by hair like doll earth is shaking
rumbling lava torrents on city descending
burying under darkness encrusting
spitting ashes at planes faster than panicking
anger of revolution once dormant exploding
family tradition of unity unearthing
easy of gadgets virtual love ending.
Boys and girls again in village playing
tailor shops and sound of shoemaker tapping
from complexity to simplicity remnant circling
fields of flowers dancing and robins singing
knees in gratitude bent marveling
at mystery of Love life continuing.

Golly, yes and gee whiz,
Go get app that and this.
Gizmos rule galaxies.
Gift life the wizardry
Gateway marvels should be.
Gain I not from apps game,
Gaps in brain are to blame.

Pets and Gadgets

My grandpa spent his leisure with pets
I don’t spare time from my gadgets.
Keep busy in gadgets till I can endure
leaving my lovely pets ignored.

Hi Tech Gadgets

Hi tech trinkets
Shiny new gadgets
Radically transforming ourselves
There's an app for that

Absence of human touch
And Face-to-face emotions
Connect through texting
Computer generated desires

Hi tech verse humans
Paradox of our time

Premium MemberFruity-Type Gadgets

Newspapers and TV are on the way out
As a source for the latest news
Fruity-type gadgets have taken over
We've lost the ability to choose

These gadgets are called Gooseberrys
No wait, that sounds a bit obtuse
Now I remember, they're Blackberrys
Sounds like something farmers produce

Can't keep up with the latest vernacular
Why not call 'em phones, whatcha think?
Or handheld communication devices
You're driving us seniors to drink

Remember back in the good old days
People talked face to face with each other
Usually spoke in total complete sentences
Knew the names of your sister and brother

This old world has become so complicated
Once was fun to carry on a conversation
We'd discuss all the latest gossip in town
Without technological aggravation

Now we talk with folks worlds away
As if they live just down the block
Sure miss that face to face communication
With Blackberrys, our jaws are locked

Computer Gadgets

Oh, grand and wondrous machine,
Creation of man's innovative mind,
What hidden wonders lie within you,
That mankind seeks to find?

Your window opens to dimensions far,
Words that allure, missions you obey,
Do you perceive, hear, and feel like we are,
Or are you spirits that could lead astray?

Why obey man's folly and command,
His divisive hands clutching the key?
What makes their minds clouded and bland,
To shun the Creator's law, willfully?

Some boast about your existence's fame,
Thinking they've transformed the world's mode,
Trampling values, ignoring all shame,
Believing you've rendered the old abode.

My grand machine, I wish you could be,
More than a judge of right and wrong,
Helping minds change, setting them free,
Guiding them back to where they belong.

Let us together write words of warning,
For them to see their wickedness stark,
May they repent and find God's adorning,
Returning to the Lord with renewed sparks.
