Gable Poems | Examples

Gable

When he left us, he left us too soon.
He starred in 13 episodes of "Tycoon".
It was a day that all of his fans were sure to hate.
Christopher left us at the young age of fifty-eight.
He starred in "The Distracted Preacher" and "The Boy Friend".
Many people were surprised when his life came to an end.
In addition to being an actor, Gable was a ballet dancer.
This talented man lost his life in 1998 because of cancer.
He starred as "Sharaz Jek" when he starred in Doctor Who.
Christopher was a special individual and that's certainly true.

[Dedicated to Christopher Gable (1940-1998) who died on October 23, 1998]

The trees grows tomorrows leaves
it's yesterday and Spring was here
it waited for the Summers Eve
and Autumn's spread of gourd ease
and winter's rest on Christmas gifts
a world of wander opens the gate
and behold their living past are
now at last alive again into your
loving open arms and you are
mindless to stench of their
scent turned to zombies
and start eating your flesh.

Well, that's a new version
of your dear precious Terra
or is it Terror, well it's my turn
Frankly I don't give a dang!
Wooo--tossed your cookies have you!

Debonair, suave, handsome American actor of yesteryear, Clark Gable
Made hordes of women swoon and held "The King of Hollywood" label.

As Rhett, dumps Scarlet with, "Frankly, my dear, I don't give a damn"...
In the movie, Gone With The Wind, feeling she's a two-timing sham.

I know a country gal named Mable
  She is dating her neighbour Gable
     They want to go to a show
   That is in a very small town
  All the traffic was very slow
       The wind was blowing snow
        They really did not know
            If they were unable
           To get to the show
   The drive to the town was slow

Our Gable Lombard Romance

A love affair which transcended mortality;
Just to have walked with her brought me miracles,
My existence only an afterthought past our first embrace.
I went straight to heaven without stopping for time.

My name Robert and hers was Rebecca,
Quite sure Clark and Carol would not mind.
Knowing that difference between acting and real life;
These lines more like steps than simple words which lead.

Each time she touched me I died without leaving,
Traveling faster to nirvana than in any instant dream.
So many sunsets must have stared back at us in amazement;
Love born on a pedestal that would dwarf highest mountain.

We flew there together on wings no human could manufacture,
Two unknown stars who never even thought of touching silver.
No movie screen ever showing the expanse of our eternity;
Just picture that someone meant for you waiting at forever.

"A poem to me is the essence of any thought,
Being built from its foundation into tower scraping sky.
It can fly like no other bird to places never seen,
Even spaceships can only dream of taking its place."
