Mable and Gable

I know a country gal named Mable
She is dating her neighbour Gable
They want to go to a show
That is in a very small town
All the traffic was very slow
       The wind was blowing snow
        They really did not know
            If they were unable
           To get to the show
The drive to the town was slow

Nice rhymes in this laid back poem, Darlene. I like the vibe of this poem, probably because I'm a city boy w/a pastoral soul. Lovely poem. Peace and joy to you.

Darlene: Years ago, I would put chains on my car to get over to see my sweetheart, who is now my wife. She would tell you, I got rid of those chains years ago and now won't leave the house unless we are out of root beer or cheese curds. Thanks for sharing your work with all of us on the soup. oldbuck

Hello Old Buck, you and your wife have a strong bond which is hard to find, the year before he passed he cheated on me, and I never knew the reason why. This pain is dying out now. Which is good for me. Have a nice evening my friend.
