Premium Member I Gotta Laugh So I Dont Cry

Life’s pitiless pathetic ploy -
There is more sad than there’s of joy.

For hearty laughs and happy cheers
Here comes a penalty of tears.

I gleaned from what life got me through
To navigate between the two.

I pledged a compromising pact -
My funnybone to counteract.

These two take turns, sadness and joy -
Life’s pitiless pathetic ploy.

I can’t do both at once - thereby -
I gotta laugh so I don’t
cry.

Unword and Upword

UNWORD AND UPWORD

À Bigly Ugly Orangely Bugly,
Got voted inly onlee only!
By Elephantly rudely taunt he,
Made our nation sad and wantly!
To bring back smiley fontly faces,
Type this X, in the right places.
Cast a timely votely POTUS,
and squash the Bigly without notice.

About poem, Inspiration:
A cousin challenged me to make a poem out of a new Trump "Unword" in that he uses words like "Yuge" and "Bigly". She said, "Points if I'd do something with "Bigly." NOTE: In my family, no matter who is president, they are going to get slashed (just like SNL). So find your funnybone, it's a long four years! -E. Nau

Buy My Pegs

A gypsy woman came and said,
‘I know you’ll want to purchase these.’
My granny firmly shook her head,
unmoved by all the gypsy’s pleas.

The gypsy tried a savage stare,
and pointed to my granny’s purse.
‘If you don’t buy my pegs, I swear,
I’ll hit you with a nasty curse.’

‘A curse won’t work if blood is drawn,’
my granny said. ‘Although I’m old,
I’ll pummel you upon the lawn.’
She chased the gypsy up the road…

…I heard the gypsy hollerin’
as Granny stuck her with a pin!

February Funnybone -Limerick

February arrives and it's glad
makes the other months look kinda sad
hearts and love it stands for
romance, flowers what’s more
for only twenty nine days that's not bad.

Funnybone Joke,Nobody's Laughing

Laughter ensues from the tricks being played
undue is the pain as nerves shredded frayed
disorder the purpose dysfunction effect,
poorly presented jokingly direct
from a pig in a poke with a funnybone joke,
not even funny are the thrills being broke
but then....hitting the funnybone is no joke......

Pain and pleasure is an individualized ideal,
as our world of perception becomes obviously real.....
