expiring experienced excited and enticed enthusiastic emus
extracted exact experimental explosives from exfoliated flues

Premium MemberOutside My Door

It was a good morning until I heard the news
reporting that COVID-19 was now spreading.
The news described how this flue isn't like other flues;
it's deadlier; I didn't like where this was heading.

At first, countries restricted air flights and cruise ships;
but soon, this virus started showing up worldwide.
And, as people canceled their vacations and trips,
they were instructed to self-quarantine inside.

It's been a year since I last stepped outside my door;
but vaccines are coming; the future's not as bleak.
Hopefully, we'll pick up from where we were before;
kids in school, and life back to a standard workweek.

Now Wash Your Hands

Hands across the pond to the NPR,
When you give power to the truth
It's a beacon from afar,
We've got a message from the UK
Coming at you, forsooth,
So now feel me when I say,
From the Morning Edition
Get Embedded every day,
When All Things Are Considered,
We need to hear what you've go to say,
Keep the Tiny Desk running hot,
Got to love those funky, fresh, sounds
Don't let Trump's lies go unchallenged
Fact check them down to the ground,
Fake news, fake flues or 'inject yourself with Lysol'!
The only cure for tyrrany
Is not to tolerate it, people
So.......
Don't let the WackaDood
Give you any Other Smother,
The Republic will survive, I pray,
If you respect each other.

Walking Through This World

Walking through this world, to the other side,
it's easy-going, then a wild ride.
Times are a-changing, have you heard the news,
there comes the novel, and virulent flues.

We thought the world, would just stay the same,
change comes as sure as, death and taxes fame.
There will be times when, something comes along,
that cannot be solved, with dance or a song.

If we're to survive, and for ourselves fend,
lets' work together, and our lives we'll mend,
So when hard times come, we'll know what to do,
even when faced with, a new novel flu.

Since our love affair, with roses and wine,
even more than gold, it's our friends that shine!

Premium MemberSanta - Stop Yer Boozin'

For months Santa tossed back barrels of brews

He was so fat he got stuck in the flues

Ms Santa warned he might croak

         Choking on billowing smoke

And to lay off his gross guzzling of booze

Premium MemberLiquid Shelter

I toss fire down your throat
pour you your bullet, goblet to gullet

glass-jacketed explosions
line my wall like church organ flues
ablution for absolution from desperation
libation-liberations for exaggerated exhilarations
bottled fevers for believers

kneel your mind
choose your raptures

you’ve come to my altar
now your blood I’ll alter

shaken, stirred, swirled, singed with little bonfires
as potent a potion as you like
each percent speeds your ascent or descent
your thirst it’ll wet and abet

I have spirits to lift yours
a cure in every liqueur
bubbly for the lively
painkillers for loners

oh, I’ll hear your confessions too
earshot with your liquor shot, on the house
no judgement nor penance
just a warped sense of time to let you unparch your soul
salvage the day
and get ready to face the next one

I’m your friendly mercenary-priest
enforcing a restraining order against reality

one more?
