do you
        hear
        the sound
        the voices?
   the music
ripples
    through
        my being..
stimulates
        such joy
        and
        contentent
I lift
      my hands..
the emotion
      pours forth
in
streams
     of
        consciousness

Hear Me My Love

Hear me my love
As I lay slowly dying
With my last breath
I whisper 'I love you'.

For eternity you’ll be my
Only love dear,
I go to God, He’ll
Comfort me with love.

As I lay here, I see
An Angel waiting
To take me home
My place among
The stars.

Be strong my love
In week's and months
To follow,
For I’ll be with you
Walking by your side.

Be patient now
I stand here waiting for you
You’re not alone
I hold you in my love

Until you come
And join me in
God's heaven
And we can find
our true eternity.

To be sung to the hymn tune Finlandia. Originally in memory of my late wife Tina, but I also dedicate it to all War Widows.

Show Me a Star

Show me a star, one bright, serene, and lofty,
and let me dream of shining at its side.
May that light shine forth, gleaming yet, so softly,
and give light to, all who on earth abide

Let its light guide each soul's precarious journey,
its shadow cloak all when they need to hide.

Oh, star burn on through cauldron, trial and fury.
Help lead each soul through seasons cruel in fate.
One radiant star where all good souls see rightly,
to dash the thrones of malice, greed, and hate.

Brave light shine on, through night when many tremble,
and guide each soul toward your heav'nly gate.

Let that star burn 'til sunrise breaks eternal,
your grace affirmed, you bid each to your side.
Use my last spark to ban the foe infernal,
then gather home your chosen, perfect bride.

Brave light shine on, through night when many tremble,
and guide each soul toward your heav'nly gate.

                                              From Revelation 22:16
                                              to the melody from
                                              Jean Sibelius "Finlandia"
