O mist, thy dawn of chaos.
O morning, discord's dew.
Flame creation, take per os!
Belladonna blue...
Rhythm, rhyme, and riddle.
The griddle pipes with heat.
No use, second fiddle!
The middle? Tasting sweet!
Forever, last a moment.
Rebellion, foment fast.
Wicker man, fire, thy lament.
Nickering mare, spell cast.
Blast off, O my intellect!
Bubble in my veins!
Golem, shall we genuflect?
Someone, take the reins.
Well, vulgarity. Disgrace.
Doubt, dismay, displace.
Time, thy shadow. Joint, thy case.
Jaunt and jig-jag, jayce.
Poison, pour. O pen mine, soar.
Two-faced god, guard door.
O for golfers yelling fore!
Grim the gauntlet gore!
Yellow queen, thanks. Generals, thy tanks.
Prisoners, shiv. Shanks.
Financiers, from the banks!
Red the rumbling ranks...
Tympani, burst. Ocean, thy thirst.
Racer, get there first.
O for warriors a-worst!
Crazy are the cursed...

A gigantic dark grey cloud covers the town and its environs
and rain fall in large lazy drops that when hitting ground
splits into a thousand droplets like cluster bombs designed
to destroy people but let building stand. Not many cars on
roads austerity grips us with an iron fist and no one drives for
fun anymore, the clear sign that we must look for a modest
future; haste for material gains we left brotherhood behind.
Although the day is murky light is not on in buildings around
mine, we have to do with the light this day gives us till evening.
Trees in the avenue are leafless, soaked and dismal now and
elegant pavements slippery, by leaves of sternness and I think of
the suit I bought at a second hand shop, it had been a banker´s
who scared by the masses wroth had fled to Bahamas…he could
have done worse. We love to hate financiers we also envy them
so we d not have to look at ourselves for money we borrowed to
buy a bigger house and a new car none of what we really needed.
It has stopped raining and a finger of light pokes through the grey,
severity is easier to bear in sunlight.
Solomon said:
“when the righteous are in authority
the people rejoice,
when the wicked beareth rule
the people mourn.” We have
ten thousand arms reaching out
from the body of free enterprise,
growing longer and thinner;
stretched beyond elastic limit
by politicians and financiers
who feed the hungry beast
on corporate welfare and consumer greed.
Then in twos threes fours and more
the arms must merge
to collectively find the strength
to perpetuate a dream
that delivers to a generation hence
a monumental debt.
The pedestrian kettle steams on to the Capitol pyre
With a weight watcher tonic; more lean legislators to sire
The Grand Old Party a taste of the aromatic brew doth require
Medicinal tonic blended to alleviate bloating gout of every Democratic squire
Preferring their watered-down, generic brand, constipated digestive tracts go haywire
The savy financiers sit on the sidelines in their cozy markets ignoring the taste test flier
The partisan grit clogs the filter producing a quagmire
The vitriolic ingredients boil over causing a rancid fire
The billowing smoke rises and streams to the patrician choir
The generic master brewer in his white house stews in the demagogic mire
Commercial winds sweep in fanning the flames causing the heat to reach dome's spire
The regurgitated grounds spewed forth to every intoxicated shire
Democratic gainsayers scare the elderly that the side effects are so dire
The rest of the squeamish plebians in their depleted hovels continue to sip their Common Roast with ire
The debt soars through the ceiling
Future generations we are billing
The politicians are not dealing
With ire there constituents distilling
The stock market is reeling
The financiers are peeling
Credit bureaus are squealing
Our good credit rating milling
While Financiers Assisi
The scriptures never claim
one day all whores will magdalen
and disbelievers paul.
There is no verse that says
one day all thieves will dismas
by the city gate
while financiers assisi,
their eyes, their tin cups up.
