Premium MemberDespising Mosquitoes

Mosquitos are like leeches
Except worse
They buzz into your ears

They are kamikaze pilots
Tormenting you from several directions
Dive bombing near your face and neck

Lying in wait to scare you
Found not only near stagnant water
But in woods and barns

They bite with ferociousness
I despise them

Ostentatious bragging
Undermining people
Tattling and gossiping

Offending groups of people on purpose
Yacking without substance or purpose

Closed minds
Old-people-generalizations
Messing with other people’s property
Fierce Ferociousness
Ogling and cat-calling women or men
Rumor-mongers who want to stir people up
Teasing to see tears

Zealous insistence on their own narrow-minded way
Outrageously lying and stealing
Needless bickering and arguing
Exclaiming false declarations of winning

One Who Knows

Before civilization imprinted on you,
before speech swallowed your thoughts,
before a million rules and regulations
strangled your spirit and stripped your flesh.

There was a place
where the uncontrollable laughter lies,
where mirth hides behind each corner and
where spontaneity springs full force.

To return to the One Who Knows,
to brace yourself and jump
Full-fledged into her arms

Perhaps some curtains will get torn,
some pot overturns,
or a meal might burn here or there.

But this creative soul knows no limits.
Recognition of her ferociousness can be frightening.
But the raging of her scarlet anger,
the scream of her limitless pain,
must be, must coexist
with the creative forces
that build the sky castles, families and fairytales.

Cry Me a River

Examining the measure of my calamity
I grow resentful and I inflict pain
Seeking to surrender all that possesses me
I lash out at the innocent which discloses my shame
I reach out
The intensities of my suffering I shelve out
Because my quantity is so immense

I become incoherent
Chaos is my universal place
My ferociousness becomes timid
Eternity my expected release date

Society has snatched me by the choker
My community flames an uproar
Makes me want to cry…. Makes me want to holler
What are we fighting for!?

Each morning I rise to the same ole tune
The classic sound
Of the lowdown blues

I have not delivered my hopes or my dreams
My objectives along with my ambitions have went from flares to flickers
To face another tomorrow makes me quiver
I am distressed about authenticating my history

Cry me a river!

Premium MemberThe Moon Is Blue

The moon has eclipsed my face
Expressions lost upon the relevancy
Of each personal strife that I encounter
Bleeding throughout my tender heart
Hurting though the moon is blue
…not red
And it covers my face with precision
Loving nature comes forward
But helps nothing, and my heartache
I feel so alone, through the tears
The fountain depicted of pain
Shouting over the noise
Of the whistle
Cat call
Storming around
And allowing the rain
To wash away nothing but
The tears that flow so strongly
Master and slave await their orders
Both enticed
By their loss of
What to become between their own selves
Their identity
I feel the wolves running
Coming with ferociousness
As they are hungry to eat flesh
A truth self-enticing towards nothing
Noted upon the moons face
But the blueness
Of its cold
Loss

Graze Your Surface

I do not pine

till I glance upon thee in mind

        ...for thou art an actuality

 breathing in and out

flesh

and I am set upon ...by ferociousness and rancor

ardent ...greedy un-feedable need

hysterical desperation

then...harmonic and fluid

liquid gold pours from my soul...cascades off the tips of my fingers
(as I graze your surface)

how can I not go see you?...but I CAN see you
so I do not go there.
I do not use your memory
... for the resistance to whimsy is a concrete wall
of divisive ice and deep grey stone

I Am Woman

I am comical with the nature of being fickle
I am delicate and dainty, my spine sometimes jells
My bravado wobbles and wibbles
Life being me sometimes tickle

I have the strength, depth and vitality of a w-o-m-a-n
Sometimes I am frail under a love spell
Still I am mightier than a locomotive
More fierce than a raging bull
Yet, I am sweet as sugar and dignified beautiful

Emphasis on the ferociousness of my being
That dead stills your heart and expedites your breathing
I am a sea shell ashore with great meaning

I am vulnerable and vernacular
Versatile and spectacular
Peace is my avatar
I am woman

My swagger thrust me to soar
My magnificence out pours
I am w-o-m-a-n
Hear me roar

And They Went

They went in the lap of dreams
Blood! Blood! everywhere..
Cries are so loud; mourn itself is grieving
Mothers are quiet; longing and holding their bellies
 Blood! Blood! everywhere..
Humanity is dead; humans are dead
Flowers are dull; colors are fading
Blood! Blood! everywhere..
Stop this war; we demand peace
You think its for the sake of religion?
Blood! Blood! everywhere..
Denunciate yourself; ask where you stand
You! yourself is a victim ferociousness
 Blood! Blood! everywhere..
And they went.. Innocence is brutality slayed
Blood! Blood! everywhere..

A Poem For My Lady

The dawn has no beauty which compares to thee
The sun has no glow as the brown eyes I see
Melon has no taste as the honey from your lips
Wine has not the power I find within your kiss

And to compare you to a sunset is a mockery
For nothing can compare to your inner beauty
For what is lost in beauty is overwhelmingly won
In a soft personality that compares to none

Its richness is beyond what is valued and rare
And its nourishment is more than even the air
And to one like me its my most essential need
To have my wanting heart love the likes of thee

I have felt the sky rain which nourishes flowers
And I have felt your love rain upon my heart
Causing it to blossom beautifully every hour
With the sweetest love songs of the meadow lark

I have seen the beauty of crystal blue seas
I have seen its waves as they kissed the beach
And in their ferociousness have I now seen
The way your priceless beauty did capture me

And nothing in this life can compare to thee
Nothing else in this world I can touch or see
For I knew in my heart that nothing would be
As lovely as the one who truly loves me.

Eternal Flames of Love

A birthday wish for a very special
birthday girl. I hope it comes true
because you're the best girl in the
world.

Beauty and brains flickering like a
seductive flame, the beast in me is
tamed. My ferociousness is gone,
I've truly found the one.

Birthday girl give me a twirl of
fiery flesh, caress my whole body.
Lets make this an evening we'll never
forget.

Infuse together in one heated flame of
love and passion, towards a white flame
of pure delight.

Let this sex be on fire, it's our burning
desire. May these flames be enough,
flickering on forever our eternal flames
of love.

Battle-Scarred Veterans

The old"yeller" cat, perched on the step,
So battle-scarred and worn;
He relished the warmth of the sun on his bones,
On that sweet,spring morn.

One ear was permanently bent over,
And the other--well, that was half gone.
These were long-healed reminders
Of ancient skirmishes this brave warrior had won.

He walked very slowly--almost a limp.
That long yellow tail was forever bent.
His appearance was one of ferociousness
And he turned heads wherever he went.

The tom was respected in"cat-dom",
Because of the enemies he had faced.
His scars were his pride and his glory,
Having put every foe in his place!

As Christians, we should always recall
That our Saviour still bears His Scars too!
Tho' they were inflicted by men long ago
'Twas in a spiritual battle for you.

And while we remain on this terrestrial ball,
There are personal battles we'll face.
Until Jesus calls each of His valiant warriors
To their eternal resting place!

Charlie Pelota HSLP April 3 2005

Storm Warning

The gathering storm rattled snakelike over distant hills,
Heads of dust and debris thrown as charcoal relief
To the vast expanse of the sky;
In the drought of reason, heat radiated a stillness,
Diseased and brooding, motionless as fissured statues
Or corpses in their time of desiccation.
The old grudges quickly stirred, their animation jostling with fever,
Until they burst tall and armoured, bloody hands
Raised up to the heavens;
Ceaselessly goading, provoking war dogs, effected
Reprisals in a rain of missiles, for attrition ruled
The stalemate kingdoms with seething deities.
The storm is coming, a travel of increasing ferociousness,
Laying waste to desert blooms and flesh,
And sat upon the pale horse the name is always death.
Towers of toasted glass and white steel,
Market places, schools and homes…and people…
All fair game carrion before such implicit dominion…
