And They Went

They went in the lap of dreams
Blood! Blood! everywhere..
Cries are so loud; mourn itself is grieving
Mothers are quiet; longing and holding their bellies
 Blood! Blood! everywhere..
Humanity is dead; humans are dead
Flowers are dull; colors are fading
Blood! Blood! everywhere..
Stop this war; we demand peace
You think its for the sake of religion?
Blood! Blood! everywhere..
Denunciate yourself; ask where you stand
You! yourself is a victim ferociousness
 Blood! Blood! everywhere..
And they went.. Innocence is brutality slayed
Blood! Blood! everywhere..

Thank you so much linda. I wrote this poem when i was deeply hurt by peshwar incident when innocent children were brutually killed. Few days back when i heard about Garissa univeristy incident it made me more disturbed that humanity is dying. Its blood blood everywhere. Im thankful to everyone for appreciation from you all and Poetrysoup.

There is a lot of wisdom in the old adage, "In war, there are no winners." It is time we called armistice to end this conflict. Thanks Asma. (^_^) Noel.

Blood occurs because misunderstanding negates humanity. We desperately need to do more to understand one another, but we're too often on our knees bowing to (or even blowing) those that reinforce our narrow sensibilities. Good write, very thought provoking.

A7, GREAT WRITE.. Terrorism is just another manifestation of the ever present evil that exists in this world. There is no stopping it as it rests within the heart of man, a fallen creature.. Only one way to defeat it but most reject that way,Christ.. Great write, carry on.. Bravoooooo!!!!!!!

The powerful write. I totally agree with you Azma, we shouldn't kill others for any reason, we saw enough of mothers' tears.

Good, but what are we talking about? Terrorism, war, or just every day life where people kill other people? Most folks on this earth are decent people, but there is evil, and we have to fight it. Thanks Thomas
