Fascinate Poems

The Morning's Picturesque Beauty

I'm waking up and rubbing two blinded eyes,
The crispness of the sweet-scented air in whimpering July
Rapidly spreads by a benevolent wind that pleases,
It allows me to discover by intent a sublime reality,
Which is the morning's picturesque beauty:
Does strong belief interfere with a sense of great friability?

Nature can be brutal or pleasant, and yet it can fascinate
Us, when it suddenly embraces each sense to compensate
For the discontent left by a dreamless and unrestful night;
What we hear amid those eerie shadows is the cry of a cricket!

I distinctly revoke such repulsing and unenthralling nights
As I wash their macabre images off with cold, running water;
Is a better day coming, prompting actions that don't falter?
Harm is done when pain is accepted and tomorrow frightens.

In this morning's picturesque beauty, I could lose myself
And wish that dreaming vainly detaches me from grief,
not seeing any delusional mirage on the journey to happiness;
I've expelled the vile demons that made me spew lies!

Fasten-aiding

There are things we take for granted
People used to do without
With a thousand-plus examples,
But these verses are about…

Fasteners we use for clothing,
Such as zippers, hooks or snaps,
Also buttonholes and buttons,
Buckles, laces, even straps.

Have you heard of Whitcomb Judson?
He and Gideon Sundback share
The invention of the zipper -
Just let Google take you there.

All my jeans and many jackets
Have that satisfying zip,
Which my ancestors, when dressing,
Never had a chance to grip.

Every fastener has background
Which may fascinate or bore,
But we owe some thanks to those
Who get us quicker out the door.

*Thanks to my husband for the title!

Fashion Of Intelligence

Digital addict:
What's life without internet
It's dull and boring.

Earth is energy
Things you have seen and not seen
They came from one source.

Technology came
Since time and immemorial
They just hung up there.

Air has wave you know
It travel fast here to there
Sending a message.

Navajo code signs
Makes enemy mind absurd
Won the war easy.

From rock to metal
How the human mind evolve
Fascinate history.

I’m as a dare—If just you’ll come along,
and give my noble providence a shot,
seeing what boundless bounty might be got,
you’ll sing me a river, cry me a song.

So if you trust that I can do no wrong,
and yield yourself to untying this knot,
finding this vacant vessel full of thought,
you’ll sing me a river, cry me a song.

Another hint may here do well to tell:
I am music not written for the ear,
a painting—that I am—though not in view.
Being seen, being heard, casting my spell,
I fascinate; this is my blissful sphere.
So know you now, which fancy sings to you?

Energy Creates

As energy accumulates,

It also creates,

Operates,

In different states.

Obtaining traits,

Learning to propagate,

Designing a substrate,

Continuing to circulate.

It starts to vibrate,

Concentrate,

Learning to duplicate,

A code to translate.

A way to activate,

And begin to animate,

As the air mutates,

Into shapes that fascinate.

Molecules starts to migrate,

As they rotate and calibrate,

Delegate and designate,

Into something great.

One able to captivate,

Encapsulate,

A being to dictate,

How its energy will create.

War

It started some years back,
the farmlands will produce beans instead less the corn
or the farm is now becoming a thing of adoration
or simple fascinating society as per family.
Well, war mongering grew by ninety eight percent
and couldn't linger even for a second- I remember
the gun would look like a knife or fine something- I
remember the sun is anonymous for years.
I remember people often say the end of world is here
or to be frank people would say we love graveyards
  instead of offices.
Well, fear has gone from within and around so far,
people would say we don't love our country, we don't
love the world- we just want to live as free place
and do whatever we like to do- after all they would
  say achievement is everything.
Ha, that would say I will drink drums of water,
that would say I will eat grasses and fascinate trees,
that would say I am a fat man leader of bats, so vamillion,
  so the story went on.......

The Horizon

I sailed towards the horizon
Where the ocean embraces the sky
Was this the edge of the world?
Would I tumble and fall?
The allure of the unknown
Captured my imagination
But the horizon kept expanding
As I sailed on
The sun dipped under
Lining it crimson
The moon popped up from below
Oh! this visual illusion
Never fails to fascinate me
From its magical delusion.

Premium MemberA Garden Mom

A myriad of enchanting flowers
at grandma's grandiose garden
that bloomed like perennial wildflowers
used to fascinate a multitude of people
who entered the porch
of our century-old ancestral abode.

A kid at seven I wondered
when i heard her every morning
whilst sprinkling them with rice water;
She spoke to each plant in nicknames
like her own children~
Chrysanthemum she called, Chrissy
her ravishing rose as Rossy
her dazzling dahlia as Dolly
her bushy bougainvillae as Bougy~
They smiled and danced during roll call;
And when the evening came,
in magical moonlit milieu
like children at play I heard them
singing sublime symphonies
only for me and for grandma.

My grandma was a great mom~
not only to her children
not only to me
but to all the flowers naive and wild
beguilingly blossoming in her gracious garish garden.

Alas, the garden is gone~
and so my grandma~
I hear the old porch
calling me~
"Come back, my beloved child!".

here is an amazing book of facts

eye roll.

I take notes because facts fascinate me.
the brain is not fully formed until you are….
I guess 12
wrong!
the answer is 25.
What?
I had two children before my brain was fully formed?

a spider’s brain is too big for its head,
so its brain oozes down into its legs.
ugh!

cockroaches can live without a head or a brain.
I knew this already
my cousin dated plenty of cockroaches

Premium MemberA Poem About Poetry

At least that's the assignment
although after several hours all I have
is oodles of doodles
on the pages of my journal
and not much else;
a word here a fragment there ~
peach/blossom/cherry/plum
each/some/barely/none
fascinate/fabricate
communicate ~
but let him kiss me with the kisses of his mouth
for his love is sweeter than wild berries filled with the sun,
and suddenly I realize I know less about you
than I do this poem!

Premium MemberDancing with Bees

You fascinate clearly
Once you're out of your hive
Flitting here, landing there
Keeping gardens alive

There's a sweetness, and yet
Nasty sting so beware
Your work all consumes
As you zoom through the air

On return to the den
Over-share with a flurry
Of your flower-full journey
Full of buzzing and scurry

You waggle your tail
With your moves; figure eight
So your bee-chums to flowers
Can with ease navigate

You are sharing the load
And you hum as you go
Your communal spirit
More successful than solo

I envy you somewhat
Though your lifespan is shorter
That you dance while you work
I think more humanoids oughta

For we stress and we toil
Little sweetness to show
For our labouring lives
Whether sunshine or snow

Yet the Spring flowers beckon
In the garden of life
Perhaps to shimmy's the answer
To this trouble and strife
