Premium MemberSiamese Fighting Fish

They do the tango in the most provocative ways
Swirling their fantails
Splashes of reds and oranges
The water separates, allowing their dance
They are fierce in their enthusiasm
I hold my breath, for I am overcome
Amazed at their beauty and their strength
Excited by their sensual dance
They are warriors of the best kind

Daughters of Poseidon

imagine
what fantastical wonders
besides the fish
swim in realms of oceans deep
with fantails that swish

when the full moon is glowing
like a treasure chest of shiny gold doubloons
and starlight brightens the sea
mermaids will be found
smiling as they dance in rhythmic reverie

their giggles create bubbles
in pearlescent hues
while the scalloped scales
on their tails
gleam in shades of greens and blues

aquatic maidens
Poseidon's lovely daughters
twirl and pirouette
beneath crystal clear waters

their haven
lies near a tropical shore

may they reign
there forever more

Premium MemberLooking At Those Cute Cuddly Bunnies

'Bunnies!', 'Yes, bunnies!'
a lonely pooch
sniffing the mound of dirt
Sniff, sniff flung the Yorkie
'Bunnies!', 'Yes, bunnies!'
'Bunnies!' curl up cute and cuddly
while across the way

a kingdom full of gophers
a mound of dirt
I sat engaged and skunking
amazed I'm watching
I saw the fantails
Cute little cottontails

When I thought of the bunnies
That proud speculum - that proud

And so you came gently fluttering
the wrigglers never rabbiting
must be their cute cousins
The marl laughed

'Bunnies!''Yes, bunnies!'
So cute soft and cuddly
So, distinctly I was pea-cocking
And my eyes have all the plumbing
While listening to the robins
Remembering many initiated, silent bunnies
so cute and cuddly

A Moment In Time

A glistening cobweb, on an old timber gate

Rainbows reside in each drop of morns dew.

Thin strands of white mist in the sun dissipate

A scurrying mouse, weaving through the fescue.

Black and white offspring of a paradise duck

Fronds of a fern beckon new life in their curl

Bees seeking sweetness into bright blooms do tuck

While a gecko peeks out and departs in a twirl.

Rata flowers explode with vibrant red lines

While fantails flush insects with spirited style.

Tangles of foliage making balanced designs

Stopping and watching this instant worthwhile.

Gone the hustle and bustle of rushing around

Enjoying the pleasure of simple wonders to see.

Never invisible these sights that are drowned

Yet infrequently treasured by both you and me.

A Walk With the Birds

Slowly spring sun caresses the land
As kowhais will softly provoke
Flushes of yellow to gently expand
Their buds of the season uncloak
Helping bellbirds escape from winter’s last choke.

Methodical beats of wood pigeon wings
Whoosh thru the quiet spring air.
Melodious trills as tuis’s sweetly sing
Fantails flitter, with hardly a care
While bush robins cheekily dare.

Fragrance of earth sweetens the breeze
New lambs adventure and race
Dragonflies linger, then floating past trees
Whio dart up the river with grace
My core just idolizes this place.

I climb up the mountain out of the trees
A kea, the comedian of the highland flies past
Does a sharp turn, lands on a boulder to tease
It’s green, blue and red feathers contrast
Their intelligence and pranks unsurpassed.

Day turns to evening; a morepork issues its call
A mournful sound that echoes the night
I descend in the darkness at the pace of a crawl
Then the hoarse cry of a kiwi just out of my sight
I'm relaxed. One day with the birds and I’m no longer uptight.

Premium MemberCrooked Cottage

Walking along the lanes on a hot summers day
I was entranced by a rather crooked cottage
the mullion windows gave a view to the bay
clickity clack went the wheels of the carriage

Curious I wandered over, pausing to read the sign
It said it was for sale I wrote down the details
the agent arranged a viewing, impressed I under-sign
now mine I settle in enjoying the light from the fantails

Speckled and dappled seemingly infused with other worldliness
doors loose in their frames and window panes that rattled
walls that sagged and bugled time marking them with cruelness
yet with a quaint charm of its own even though the floors buckled

With a happy sigh I watched the yachts skim and skip the waves
toddlers happily splashing in the shallows parents watching
carriages carrying the rich and fashionably dressed knaves
whilst high born men and ladies chatted under the awning

In that moment I knew that no matter what here I'd stay
quite won over by the way the crooked cottage caressed
feeling a warmth of welcome radiating and enfolding this stray
at last the wayfarer could hang her hat, over now her quest

Fantaledshrimpe

FantaledShrimpe
The girls were slow the act was nice but they were slow the drinks were melting the ice
before the patrons reordered some. The place was dead the sex was pantomimed. The
director decided to try some old Burlesque routines they had nothing left to lose. Three girls
naked from the top kissing each other not able to stop while wiggling there fantails up an
down an up and down they hoped it would bring down the house an it almost succeeded but
for the small drunk in the middle row JOE he smiled at the half naked ladies but he wanted to
get in on the act. He waddled to the stage and chased the girls around trying to actually get a
kiss at his age it was all he could hope for. They did not laugh no snicker no crack a half
facebook smile they dickered quickly for rights to which one would kick him off that stage
and the red headed long winded girl won. He tried to rally his attack and came back to the
edge of the orchestrated pitt she turned her back and hit him with her fantail shrimpe fell
headlong into the place where they were playing musick there. Oh WELL now that IS a deep
subject. Playing now at every bar and grill in town.
