Exhaustible Poems | Examples

Lifeline

she filled her lungs with air and insanity,
her heart grappling for mercy against her chest,
growing weary from a dissociating tyrant,
her mind running laps to every nerve synapse,
fleeing from the feral monster inside her.

breathing easy was like an exhaustible task,
frail and meager, her body laid upon a bed,
her bones like steel prying into her flesh,
every living cell fixated on terror that ruined
her vitality and heralded imminent suffering.

on the monitor was a haphazard lifeline;
how does she return to life before this calamity?
how can she hush her heartbeats to a lullaby?
who can embrace her vulnerable heart with love?
who else can save her except for herself?

she solemnly sworn upon her life,
pleading for a day of being free from pain,
from sufferings that felt boundless and
like an overhanging demon that never leaves.
every moment she gave up, it became stronger.

until it weighed painstakingly with every breath,
she had an epiphany; a stroke of luck just in time.
manifesting a spear, she lunged it into her heart.
the demise of the dark entity that brooded within,
was the moment she saw the light, a new life.

Unity

This exhaustible heart in demand of unity.
Otherwise it will exhaust without dignity.
Where to fall? Where to stand?
Every hand in hands of hands.

Neither the love nor the hate,
Where people stand with unity's faith!
Like a world where yes to all,
"United we stand divided we fall".

A team needs to be united,
That's for all to see the humanity,
This exhaustible heart in demand of unity,
This exhaustible heart in demand of unity!

Premium Member Love Lull Into Weightlessness

Beautiful picturesque soft glowing light
against the darkness, whilst burning shooting
star catapult through the sky in its flight.
Spinning fine idyllic thread flow, moving.

In mine heart, I evoke the narrative
wist of our youth. An inexhaustible
love; now lost in the waning sedative
silence of farewell and exhaustible.

Once devoured by his fathomless green eyes,
crave the dark blond hair full of spiral curls.
Lost to his ebbing wave of silent cries
left breathless like flittering glint of pearls.

Birds hymn lull mine into weightlessness sleep;
whilst echoes always brings you back to keep.

The Fallow Plough

There are those of us, as one,
who feel greatly the indescribable
feeling
as if to probe the caverns of our non-existence--
the us which cannot be and is not
except in the small hours, the infinity of moments,
stretching beyond our belittled sense with shut, weary eyes
and the inconstant shaping of faces behind the world.
The momentous certainty of one's own death,
we know,
tolls me back, not from sleep, or fugue, or transcendence,
but by sloping box springs. Where no transient rivers lay their beds,
no eglantine or honeysuckle dapple the wild thicket groves,
no fluorescent bulbs lead to the exhaustible sun,
no tender sprigs will spring in Spring or fall in Fall, but
here, where places do not exist as we do not,
we know.
I feel no thing, and here is where I love--
a most disembodied love that cannot die
for death like we is not--
and leaden-eyed among the alien corn each sordid day, I yearn
most deeply to feel you there
as I do not feel you, my love.

Evaporation

Marveling
interrogated exclamation
of this sweet and bitter immense tickling loneliness
hard labor
plastified by diverse molds
deep filigree taste
in exhaustible muscle
mind that climbs and rolls
with a battery of titanium

In this loneliness of automation
free greetings of the denture
kind and inocuous farewells
that evaporate and disappear...
travelers of sealed spirals
where beginning and end
ciclically superimpose
recite the myth by memory
and unable to define their flame
exist when they think
dye when they sleep
vibrate when they love giving
plunge serene into the full void.
