Shawna was a girl of the earth, she loved animals too.
She was a lover of forests, lakes, oceans, and trees.
An angel on this plane, she shown with delight.
Enjoying the mountains for her was a breeze.
Shawna was a well-known environmentalist in our little berg.
She was an enthusiastic child of nature for sure.
We thought she could tame a tornado if she had a mind.
I think healing nature appealed to her, for she was so pure.
We all followed her progress in a fawning, endearing way.
She exuded a light that most people never see.
She made the environment happier almost every day.
I figured she was as wholesome as a girl could ever be.
Happy eighteenth birthday to Greta who likes to tell the truth.
She is sage and wise. A soothsayer with intelligent amounts of sooth.
She has brought climate change into our brains in a polite way.
Greta’s wisdom is sound. Her philosophy important each day.
She has insight and fortitude, and her reliance is amazing and keen.
She is one of the most important brains this generation has seen.
We hope others will take a page out of her book and learn to read.
Maybe her ideals and ideas will grow intelligence, such a good deed!
Happy birthday Greta, you have been so generous and kind.
I hope people especially politicians will keep your ideas in mind.

Can you imagine if
Environmentalists lived
100 million years ago:
The air would still be
so thick you could
cut it with a knife
(which they wouldn’t have)--
and everywhere one stepped
one would be stepped on
As for love?
I think only in Disney dinosaurs
but I could be wrong…

F riend to all unconditionally
R ecycling is but a drop of effort
E ver seeking alternative methods of living
E ndless love for all alive
M any hours spent enlightening people
A nd selflessly forgoing luxuries that could harm our earth
N ever giving up your beliefs
