Enrique believed in the candidate Jones,
who championed causes he favored.
He signed up to help the man’s campaign,
for a new tomorrow he labored.
It was hard work, the calls and the shouts
of the other side, so coldly 'fascist.'
But Enrique kept on pushing, it had to be done,
they’d get no better chance than this.
Against all the odds, Jones won by a hair,
and the drinks were poured at his HQ.
Enrique toasted to a better world,
proclaiming ‘the fascists’ were through!
When Senator Jones moved to Washington DC
Enrique waited to see the change come.
But months went by and he heard nothing,
no spoils of the victory hard won.
He e-mailed often to learn of progress,
but form letters were all Jones returned.
Then two months in Jone’s went back on
a big promise, and Enrique felt burned.
It only got worse as the weeks went on,
Jones seemed content to walk Washington’s scene
He went to the right parties, diddled the interns,
and forgot all about strong words of dreams.
Enrique fumed, and spoke of betrayal,
but his girlfriend said,”They’re all the same.
Politicians are addicts to power and illusion,
Human nature, it just doesn’t change.”
Apt answer apes:
Freeze-frame fond feel,
Ask affluent aid;
Naught nurtures nil,
Taste touchy tears;
Air arcs attest,
Spur sensuous seer;
Yoke yonder yes.
Frame face fuzzy,
Ideas inking;
Note niche naughty,
Assign acting;
Loiter lost leech,
Etch escape each.

You called out to Him, He heard the cry of your heart…
He gave you a spirit of power, love and self control
Your soul you fully did surrender…
The immense pain of your broken body...
Didn’t stop you from seeking and praising
our Merciful God
He looked your way, uplifted your spirit,
Your pain He did render…
He called you son, it’s time to come home…
But not before those you love are at
your side and you will make them all smile...
For you will soar on eagles wings
This beautiful day in September…
I held you tight as your last breath…
released your spirit beyond the sky
To see the face of God and His Splendor…
You are crowned a son of God

Here comes the rain as sun shines bright,
Streak rainbow plain in radiant light.
Feel thought now hurl a profound think,
Yet sense somehow a causal link.
Indulge your heart as mind plays games,
Begin and start what ego names.
Sure heart knows soul beyond mere thought,
A certain whole conscripts all plots.
Joy wears a face that succeeds cheer,
Wit follows grace when love comes near.
Seek then delight beyond mere fill,
Focus your sight on pure goodwill.
Peace centres here when love firms proof,
Abide my dear in that sure truth.
Go deeper still and forfeit thought,
Surrender will to find your lot.
Strange is the change that drives each soul,
Poise floods clear range in that sure whole.
All else must fade in time and space,
Let splendour trade that awesome grace.
Purpose plays pun in feisty jest,
Enjoy life's run in journey quest.
Death is the gate where love awaits,
Embrace your fate and don't be late!
