She shimmers in the sun,
she's onyx in eventide,
Rio Grande.
She can be waters of a
new horizon,
or a river of Death.
Swimming in desperation,
mothers, fathers,
wanting coveted freedom
for their children to live
in USA-
a divided nation,
for an education, a chance,
to be enfranchised.

Men, women, children
have drowned,
returned to God.
But their dreams
didn't perish in
this waterway.
They're living in
another family landing
on shore in uncertainty.
Where does humanity go,
when the Rio Grande flows-
into a fate unknown. ~

Remembering the Long Grass

The long grass, hiding secrets, needles our bare thighs.

In the distance, magisterial, stunning, see a skylark rise.

The coax coax frog-sounds echo in the mist-cloud night

Dare to touch one, grotesque, delicious chilling fright

                                              Our freedom. Freedom.

Joy gone now in the pain-world.

Our friend-love, once enfranchised, unfurled.

A new life embraced us

A black light ensnared us.

Diagnosis, prognosis, progress non-linear.

I called. They said, not now, maybe later.

Later. They gave you the telephone.

It was a chilled day and you were home.

We talked, remembered the long grass, laughed.

And that was just four days before you passed.

ANNIVERSARY
(Apropos A Sable King & Ebony Queen)

Perpendicular...a score and ten...
our weary feet have collectively
trod the level plane...foot for foot
bonded by the cable tow of love—Tiled.

Sailing on the ship of faith
we've weathered wayward storms...
their undulating waters...treacherous winds
and rising destructive tides...
enfranchised...still as one-in-one—Together.

Indeed...perfection on earth can never be obtained
by mere mortals as us...yet, we've been good for each other:
praises be to the spirit that has bound me to you: Glory—Glory.

Mission Impossible

it is imperative that we do not circumscribe to being thorny
Veritably all will acceed to rising in the morning.
Though melodramatic we must abnegate and repress that static. All the pervading overcast of complicity we must abtly resolve. Hear many cry God Save the King, iconoclastic remain and God save us all.

it is our allegiance to the world we interlope, enfranchised from the phlegm that strangles hope. How heavy are these portent gestures we bare? Our struggles will engender many to care. Those who resonate vying as something glorious, do sway from that which is tantamount and decorous.

Acknowledge this morphology to unfold, brighten the efficacy from cold. Leave these words engraved posthumously in your mist and quail not though our time desists.

Choreography’s Turkish Delight

On sediment at the bottom of the cup of societies
drags of dis-enfranchised masses are waiting for a
trickle from the leaks of luxury founded on coffee
planted on wealthy soil and pittances from labour

Reading the ground rules from a chalice turned
upside down and upright once more the fortune
told and retold providence destined is unchanged
its café royal remains a future chained to the past

The coffee knows what lies ahead no clairvoyance no
Tarot palm lines crystal balls psychic power needed
on the menu of the human condition's commandments
suspended the puppet master is still written in the stars

Strings attached Jo and Joan will always feed on scraps
and they are strung to grinding bones and soul to the
core while exuding aroma of sweat blood and tears so
that porcelain sheltered charm infuses delight for the few

In hypocritical slurps I write to the tune of my coffee and
choreography remains until the revolution comes in vain

Life Tenses

Life Tenses.

Its Past,Present,Future connection,
A sisterly chained interconnection,
Each without the other,
Will not wholly exist.
My past never I can catch hold of,
But sure can link it to,
Present is the morsel on my palate,
Try to taste it every moment,
Future is my enfranchised dream,
I await every minute of it,
It encloses the aims of my life.

Premium Member Stay Or Go Yes Or No

STAY OR GO yes or no?
An offshore island we remain,
whether we stay or go..
But our history we need now
to declaim.. and say No!
Truly enfranchised for only a
few decades,now cheaply given
away for a pottage of gold...
all without our say so..
Sacrificed on politicians' ego trips.
We, the people,the everyday man..
back to square one of a century ago..
Disenfranchised again,ruled by a few..
part of another illusory 'grande ideale'.
Our kin so recently fought to win the war
..but we so easily gave away the peace..
Time again, for the English common man
to say No,to regain our release...
Time for this undemocratic 'Union' to cease..
Time for us to depart,we do not 'belong'
It's time to move on..
put once more 'our enfranchised horse'before
'our' cart.
The 'global village' is now here.. a larger
stage on which England,on its own,
with much to give..can play a full part.
