Art

Creation is something that many have embarked to acheive
My belief is to get out of the way of trying to create while rolling up my sleeve
The next step truly has its own journey, distance yourself from thinking too deep
A great idea or creation could end up as a technique too steep
It looks amazing once I eject myself out of the anomaly's plan
Where do these ideas come from? could it be my mood or my hand
A trust needs to appear for it is all that works in a moment of creation
It will happen once all the elements bind together when it comes into fruition
I'm proud to call myself an artist with multitudes of talents
Whether I'm sad, depressed or just joyfully absent
Infusing tricks that remain tacky or cheesy has no place in my arsenal
Or should I just be and allow without a mehtod that's enforceable
Creation is the process of channelling a wave of discoveries
Marked in crystal birthing of artistic prophesies
They already exist in disjointed pieces
My job is to unearth them and assemble the
Art.

US SCHOOLS, US RULES

US SCHOOLS, US RULES

Yes, in the USA and probably some other places too
Distances are such that they still do bus kids to school
A good local service, as many would agree that’s true

But car drivers in a hurry should never act like a fool
If held up whenever a yellow school bus might stop
The law enforceable rear sign means stop, it is a rule

One never can be sure that there isn’t a nearby cop
Overtaking a parked school bus always risks shunts
Accept the fine, it’s never worth taking it to the top

The driver or monitor can’t be everywhere at once
There will be a kid, who may just suddenly appear
But if they are hit, it’s the driver who is the dunce

They say, don’t ignore the stop sign, but never fear
‘Cos we don’t do big yellow school busses over here

Sadness consumes
as we sit here thinking

Possible resolutions
from great minds to written law

Decisions to be made
do they stay or do they go

Limerick cochetés: Our great uhr-Father from Africa

Our great uhr-Father from Africa
Hallowed be Thy fame in high Valhalla
	The Asian walk-about
	Down backbone coccyx snout
Who didst Thou mate in Peninsula Malaya

To produce orangutan Malaysia
Did our great uhr-cousin Gorilla
	Chimpanzee when in doubt
	Precede Thy walk-about
Swinging from tree to tree to Australia

To judge by great life in Southeast Asia
Smoke-filled lungs from HAZE in Sumatra
	Death penalty for tout
	With drugs- Hell for khalwat*
Is there doubt who preceded whom from Africa

•	khalwat: (a Muslim – all Malays - religious law)
According to which, no Malay may marry a non-Muslim nor be found in close proximity giving rise to suspicion of promiscuousness, law enforceable by religious courts whose officials are empowered to spy on offenders and report their activities to the relevant authorities

Dignity

Your life became ours,
when we acquired the rights
to your happiness
in exchange
for our own

The rights were perpetual
and globally enforceable

Sadly, they also included
the dignity we reserve
for ourselves
but deny now,
to you
