Electrocuting Poems | Examples

D'Amor

Love intoxicates
Makes your heart palpitate,
Makes your emotions radiate,
Scaling highest current, electrocuting feelings.

Love is bad
Love is hard
Love is bald
Love is mad.

Tune you strange to other maidens,
Beat your heart strong, mend it rigid.
Funny it tends: to the choice colleen.
Drives your mental horizon to the alleys of worry.

Love is sweet,
Love does prick,
Love is weak,
Love is thick.

Sweet like candy solution-ed with strawberry,
Pricks your heart, drags your brain: making them enemies.
Weakens your thought, mar your dealings,
Moisture your veins, thicken the lotions in your reins.

-------- -------- ------ ------- ------- -------- ---------

Driving you like a Bremen Bull,
Crazed UPSTAIRS, all earth pull,
Hurting the soil with its hoof,
Till the craved cud it chew.

Premium MemberSome Hearts Can Never Be Tamed

Once when my soul spoke,
you betrayed every word.
Then your tongue promised
to only sing with sincerity.

I danced for a brief while,
lost in your angelic orchestra.
Until I stumbled and you fell,
crushing our garden of roses.

Then keys fused only sad sounds.
Maybe it was me, but i'm sure
it was you, who left me alone on
that boulevard of broken promises.

Vivid violins cried, until you
snapped their sorrowful strings.
And I was right there, but
your eyes deceived you.

You thought it was rain drops,
not the tone of my tears,
electrocuting the heart
of my weeping guitar.

Chills from your silence
froze suppressed emotions.
Creating ribs of steel, which
shield flesh that is now stone.

Now your love belongs to
another innocent man.
Who doesn't know your song,
nor how your garden blooms.

Locked In

Nothingness fills every inch of me
abominable sensations crawl from deepest recesses
anxiety lunges at me – clawing at the soul
already battle-weary, depleted…

Mortalities plague my waking moments
ungodly images rouse the mind to endless tortures
trepidation ignites every nerve – electrocuting me from within
conflagration, inferno…

Fractured surfaces blind me with incandescent lies
obscuring the truth behind enigmatic imaginations
dread and death roll the dice – a game of backgammon
double six, double one…

Frantic hands smudge the tears that cascade down paralysed marble
leaving stained trails in their wake excavated through frustration and pain…

A splintered glimmer breaks the void -
there is hope…

Oblivion Is Wishful Thinking

Of course, there's always Life to wither you in the mornings
before you've scarcely taken a reverse wink at the living TV
that already has its liquid bloody light filling the tube
like a gasping drunk pounding on your door at five A.M.
but sheets are tangled and alarm clock's electrocuting you
and even though everything, everything is screaming, "The end! The end!"
life goes on as they say so who needs eternity?

Breaking your teeth on your teeth you pray that oblivion
is not just wishful thinking because
Death is the only hope you have
to get out of bed
alive.
