Eggroll Poems

I Found A Hair In My Eggroll

I found a hair in my egg roll
Lipstick was left on my glass
Discounted prices, no wonder
Bean curd is giving me gas

Cracks in the dishes are nothing
Cracks in the seats are too much
My bottom’s nearly deflated
Next thing, the floor it will touch

Speaking of floors, they’re so sticky
My foot stepped out of my shoe
An hour you’ve been in the bathroom
                 Search party’s looking for you

Get me the check, where’s my cookie
                 Ugh, there’s no fortune inside
Chow Mein is starting to rumble
Yuk! I think something has died

Premium MemberAbby and Jake

An enterprising widowed woman is Abby McClure.
She owns and operates a lumberyard, and is financially secure.
Her sister Maxine can't stand to see Abby unattached.
She knows a man named Jake Iverson, and gets them matched.
Jake has a daughter, and Abby has three boys.
All of the children are considered great joys.
However, the marriage requires everyone to make adjustments.
This puts this newly-formed family into unusual predicaments.
Do you think this union will work out successfully?
All you have to do is watch the movie.

Based on the 1968 film "With Six, You Get Eggroll"

COPYRIGHT-POTESS-MRS. ANJALI DENANDEE,MOM

( I am writing at PURI, Orissa, India )

On sand, I sit -

Waves touch and touch my feet .....

These are very speedy !

                   Too much salty !

The Bay Of Bengal ! The sea ! The lady !

                   She is the reality !

I see & see .....

So many lives enjoy on her water !

It's the season - Winter ;

                     Yet so comfortable weather !

Thanks ! The greatest nature !

Says my body ! Mind ! Soul !

My famliy eats the eggroll !

The beach is full of sound !

So happy the sandyground !

                       Wety ! Busy ! Lovely! Jolly !

Age Is Just a Number

Imagine self, becoming 27.
Admired the elders.
Glad that prediction of not making it, does not exist.
Confused about if I can make it in the future.
Learn, thus, selves shelves.
I cannot imagine.
Hence we can.
Age is a number.
Eggroll to Paracetamol
Breath like a baby
Laugh
Next step, TV dinners at 60.
Hallelujah.

Your Eggrolls Are Dry

Your eggrolls aren't dry.
Your eggrolls aren't wet.
You say they're just right.
like it's some sort of threat.

You hand me an eggroll
along with a plum sauce.
I can tell you're still mad
as your eyes start to uncross.

This time there's no bag.
could it be a small hint.
Is it time to say sorry
for that eye with a glint.

It's a fresh tasty eggroll.
Not too dry; nor to wet.
It's your present to me
with my thanks and my debt.

I can never repay you
for the food you confect.
but more than your eggrolls
it is you that's perfect.

Late Eggrolls

It's late for an eggroll
but it's Sally's best time.
It's dry but it's tasty
and Sally; her dime.

It's perched in it's baggie:
white with a fold.
A sleeve for a napkin,
grease covered and bold.

The weight of a dove.
It airs to the table.
A fragrance of oil.
A crust for it's gable.

A sauce made of plums.
My eggroll for dipping.
The puddle soaked baggie.
A sauce wiped and dripping.

A bite for the senses.
My heart stopped to savour.
A dance of my tongue
and thanks for the flavor.

A gift from dear Sally.
This eggroll she pittied.
Without asking money,
my thanks that I'm pritheed.

Eggroll

An eggroll on a mission
from Sally in the back.

Delivered to my table
by little Sally Trac.

Included is a plum sauce
and napkin on the side.

A kit fit for survival
that's fattening and been fried.

A food made rich for washing
with Red Rose famous tea.

Just one of four she carries
that Sally serves to me.

I'll grip the plastic spoon
to stir and press the bag,

then lift it to the table
to sit it and to drag.

Each sip will be refreshing.
The taste around my tongue

while mixing with my eggroll;
the beanspouts I have strung.

The eggroll's final mission;
a thankful one at best.

To not forgetting Sally Trac,
without; would not be blessed.

Sally

Sally gave me an eggroll
when business had died-down.

One small and glistening eggroll
to take away my frown.

Thank you Sally; you generous Sally,
whom the dollar has no meaning.

You've bent the rules and made man fools;
and taken them out for cleaning.
