Enjoy your life; do all that you can
with purpose
because you can’t live it again.

Embrace what you do with great zeal
and with joy.
Your life the Grim Reaper shall steal.

Don’t think that your life God will save
just like that
if good works you put off till your grave.

The Swap

Flip flop,
Tick tock,
Time goes.

Stealing,
Swapping,
He or she knows.

Your place,
Your space,
They desire.

Backstabber,
Doppelganger,
For hire.

You Inspire Me

I
Waiting ...
Not on the LORD
But on a phone call
So, I turn to poetry
Led by Jesus & His Word
"All is vanity"

II
I know there's nothing new
Something Solomon knew
Wrote about in "Ecclesiastes"
All is vanity, under the sun
I seek heat under His Son
But the dead world will beckon
If not for wealth, then a wise wife
Will I make her my new idol?

Premium MemberMan's Duty To God - Ecclesiastes 12: 13

'Let us hear' seems so simple to do
but how often is our eardrums so dull
as if not concerned whether we do hear
better be sure before God calls for a cull

God always looks for a conclusion
He brings out the facts before our eyes
making us consider the whole matter
for He has in store a heavenly prize

When we read the words 'fear God'
what does it bring to our mind?
is it a cringing fear or a holy reverence?
God urges us to recognise He's holy kind

God has given us directives for life
these are for our good if we obey
clearly God seeks honesty and truth
for His glory and honour, He seeks daily

All of this God calls to all his creation
for this is the absolute whole duty of man
obey His commandments with a full heart
receiving blessings untold within God's clan

("Let us hear the conclusion of the whole matter:
Fear God, and keep his commandments: for this
is the whole duty of man." )

Premium MemberUnderstanding Ecclesiastes 3:1 To 3:8

The continuous clock of Heaven
moves in silence
as we travel the trials and tribulations of life
Could that we notice when we concern ourselves
with the trivial small things that matter not to God
Each season comes, Each season passes
we grow older each time through its passing
Happiness is fleeting, Sadness is fleeting
Our lives are fleeting
The words were given to understand
to find wisdom in
They are alive in their truth
first, we must open our blind eyes
from our own darkness
Only then, will we comprehend God's meaning

Premium MemberThe Vanity of Wisdom -Ecclesiastes 1: 18

The writer of this old testament book
Solomon the son of David so great
God gave him a choice of His gift
he chose wisdom a choice first rate

He trained his heart to be wise
be able to be knowledgeable true
so never to be caught out at all
many would come asking what to do

But in lots of wisdom is real sadness
for in it is much vanity among men
striving for what can't really satisfy
it's no better than flying like the Wren

Many of mankind seek all knowledge
that brings real sorrow in one's heart
for it's just like striving after the wind
it can't be caught not even a part

(Ecclesiastes 1: 18
"For with much wisdom comes much sorrow; the more knowledge, the more grief.")

Premium MemberAlways the Same -Ecclesiastes 1: 4

The cycles of life goes on and on
every twenty-four hours round it goes
generations pass both old and young
the winds of change forever it flows

But in all these changing scenes of life
the earth is forever always to be forever
this is God's great creation on display
showing the work of the eternal one so clever

God has put eternity in his world
broadening its horizons far and wide
so much been discovered in man's small mind
but God knows all things from the other side

This earth is planted with seeds aplenty
for sowing plants and flowers of many a kind
but it all stems from God's design
his pen marks show where he signed

So this old earth's always the same
till one day God will wrap it all up
then man and earth will be no more
for then eternity will drink its full cup

('A generation goes, and a generation comes,
   but the earth remains forever.')

Premium MemberEverything In Its Time - Ecclesiastes 3: 1,2

Life has it’s many seasons
every purpose in it’s right time
wherever we are there’s a plan
whether in life’s dotage or it’s prime

There’s a time to come forth
into life to take the first breath
but also when you breath your last
that marks your time of death

In all of life there is time
to plant that little speck of seed
then later will grow to fruition
where you pluck it up for it’s need

Such is all the cycle of life
everything was it’s proper season
making most of what you’re given
working out it’s truest reason

(‘To everything there is a season, a time for every purpose under heaven. A time to be born and a time to die, a time to plant and a time to pluck what is planted.’ Ecclesiastes ch. 3 vs. 1-2 )

Ecclesiastes 2:17

I have a good friend who has some problems with his head.
Jesus, I heard him wish that he was already dead.
You say up in heaven, after all this we'll be fine,
But how many friends have you, and why do you need mine?

I have a good friend who says this world's just not for him,
He can't wait for heaven,  jesus why is that a sin?
If you don't present yourself for all of us to see,
You can't blame the troubled few who come looking early.

My good friend is gone now jesus, on his way to you,
He couldn't change the plans you made, what was he to do?
His hands were tied from the inside, a marionette.
Hard as he tried, he really died
Of choice he didn't get.

Words of wisdom everybody sees
comes from the Book of Ecclesiastes.
They were written by wise men in the court of Solomon the King.
Under heaven, there is a time and place for everything.

Ecclesiastes 9:9-12

Wise Solomon called it vanity
that men should strive to gain
more earthly possessions than wisdom
even tho it brings strife and pain.

For we know not what time we are given
tho we be snared in an evil time.
So live joyfully with whom thou lovest
that true joy your heart shall find.
