The Vanity of Wisdom -Ecclesiastes 1: 18
The writer of this old testament book
Solomon the son of David so great
God gave him a choice of His gift
he chose wisdom a choice first rate
He trained his heart to be wise
be able to be knowledgeable true
so never to be caught out at all
many would come asking what to do
But in lots of wisdom is real sadness
for in it is much vanity among men
striving for what can't really satisfy
it's no better than flying like the Wren
Many of mankind seek all knowledge
that brings real sorrow in one's heart
for it's just like striving after the wind
it can't be caught not even a part
(Ecclesiastes 1: 18
"For with much wisdom comes much sorrow; the more knowledge, the more grief.")
