Premium Member Diagonal Dory

Diagonal Dory lived on an incline
She detested hearts, circles or a straight line.
Her name was perfect, exceptionally fine.
She served all of her food in a zigzag line.

DORY AND JOHN

The story of dory
And the story of John
Could be glory
Could be wrong

Dory was a Gent at heart
Dorian was the birth mark
John preferred the Dory part
As was his name from start

A younger brother with might
John enjoyed a good fight
Dory had no choice in life
As his brothers fire reignites

Sat in constant silence
In denial of the violence
Seeking the vengeance
Of a brothers pretence

To the viewer looking in
There was no sin
No bullying of the sibling
Feelings was kept within

But poor old Dory
Was more than a story
A tale as gory
To make the devils glory

 A knifes sharp look
Sharper than a serpants tooth
No more playing by the book
Dory looks to end the snook

Waiting for the right time
To end his eternal prime
Lifting up his knife
Here's to you and life

Claret filled the room
With no time to gloom
The blade spun with a zoom
As Dory fell to his doom

A story of brothers grim
A story of feelings within
A story of lifes sin
A story we need to bring

So the masses will see
People hide their grief
From judging thieves
Who steals from realities

Premium Member Crescent Moon Reads To Dory Star

Crescent moon was a tiny bit chilly on pink clouds tonight
He got his warm cozy crocheted afghan and turned on the light.
Sweet baby star Dory stopped by to listen to a good story.
Crescent was happy to accommodate sweet little Dory.

Premium Member Dory, My Star of Yesteryear

There I was in the 1970s
an impressionable sort of guy
then I learned about a lady
who when she sang I did sigh!

One of her albums just shook me
'we're children of coincidence
and Harpo Marx', where did he appear?
her music was filled with confidence

Ar that time of life, I was down
life didn't mean much these days
but Dory Previn was a voice of light
speaking to me what her music says

So many great tracks, I loved so much
'The Comedian', 'Wild Roses and 'I Wake Up Slow'
but 'How I Gonna Keep Myself Together'
inspired me to be able to musically grow

Of course who could forget the final song
the magical ' The Owl And The Pussycat'
sadly Dory passed away in 2012
thankfully her music lives on the fast track

(Dory Previn was my star of yesteryear, (1925-2012)
I just wanted to write about my favourite album. Why it is my favourite album, what a lot of special memories it holds, What feelings within me it still holds.)

Premium Member Sofia, Kong Kee, the Dab and the Dory

Sofia the large sandy crab
Afraid of a life too drab
Took to the sea
With her cousin Kong Kee
And a six spotted floundering dab

Oh Kong Kee now this is the life
No worries no trouble no strife
Shoulda done this before
She got hit by an oar
And that was the end of her life

The dab and Kong Kee carried on
To finish their cousins swansong
The smell of fishrot
In a new fangled pot
Was the end for the cousin called Kong

Now the dab swims alone in the bay
While the sun shines he's still making hay
For he's back whence he went
Pocket money all spent
And so happily, blissfully gay

Dab met a small fish on the way
Who aspired to become a great ray
He ate as he must
Til his belly did bust
And he ends up as soup o' the day

There's a moral in each little story
So never go hunting for glory
You'll end up on a plate
Tryin' to mimic a skate
When you're really a small johnny dory
