Those poetic,Prima Donna poets, who ignore
you!
Oh, dear! They are here alright!
But you are insignificant, so they take their
arrogant flight.
How dare tthey not comment and read
others all day?
Crushing Prima Donnas, hearts of mud
and clay.
They will never see this poem, not this or
on any of God’s days!

BREXIT the background
Posturing politicians pursuing their pompous persona, oblivious of the obvious, contemptuous of the common man,and common sense that therein abides.Such bella-donnas,a deadly night-shade in their braying bubble poisoned our democracy those hard won rights we and our forefathers sweated blood, tears & long years to achieve. Without a glance or referendum obliterated on the altar of ego, subsumed to the domination of the bureaucratic oligarchy of Brussels.O England,my fair land, once laid bare ,now on Jan 1 free to be,again

Supporting England's like being bipolar
one minute they'll win it the next it's over
we resort to branding them prima donnas
though we ourselves sure they'd win honours,
the cycle repeats
quarter final beats
metatarsal feets
penalty defeats
the proud scenes
singing God Save The Queen
luck not Irish green
victory only in dreams
the red cards we've seen shown
or the goals a many disallowed
singing football's coming home
and singing it proud
we are England
flying our Saint George cross
we're better than Scotland
playing like they're lost
we are prevented
bringing home what we invented
ideas of winning are demented
but in our destiny it's cemented
P.s I am demented

My prison is a chain link fence
Beneath the neon lights
The sky bleeds blood orange
And dogs bark at metallic monsters
Crossing over the dirty bridge
Watching a dead bum float in the river
Next to a fornicating couple
Drowning in vodka and cocaine
Find release in the dingy clubs
Where drug dealers sell math books
And schools deal in fentanyl
For princes and prima donnas
Escape all of that to die by gunshot
By gang warfare or school shooters
The city's a haven for the callous and craven
And that's all before the sun rises

When I was young, my class was filled
With Lindas, Donnas, Sues.
Our parents mostly stuck to names
Quite common when they’d choose.
But each few years the choices change
And certain names just stick,
Becoming those that moms and dads
Will very likely pick.
The latest female moniker
I’ve heard, to my surprise,
Is Ruby and I’ve heard it thrice
And so I theorize…
That other gems might make the scene
Like Topaz, Jade or Pearl,
A glittering selection for
A brand-new baby girl.

Just came from a Doo Wop show -
Such energy! Such fun!
The spotlight managed to be shared,
All night, by everyone.
No prima donnas here, just folks
Performing from the heart,
With such excitement on their faces,
From the very start.
The audience did whoop and cheer
And gave their full support.
The singers gave their all
And not a one of them fell short.
My daughter was among them
And she nailed her parts just right.
I'm sure she'd love that much attention
Every single night.
Performances are special
And this one was so, indeed,
For each person on that stage
Has what we'd call a "special need."

AN ELEGY FOR ENGLAND
Posturing politicians pursuing their
pompous persona,oblivious of the
obvious,contemptuous of the common
man,and common sense that therein abides.
Such bella-donnas,a deadly night-shade
in their braying bubble poisoned our
enfranchisement,those hard won rights
we and our forefathers sweated blood,
tears & long years to achieve.
Without a glance or referendum obliterated
on the altar of ego, subsumed to the
domination of the bureaucratic oligarchy
of Brussels.
O England,that once fair land,alas
now forever laid bare.
Listen to me recite this structured prose elegy on youtube under my pen name ichthyschiro

green fingers plucked you
to become prima donnas
of the dumping site
on a sandy grave
poverty's roses are placed
by sorrowful hearts

My friend is in trouble and I
Don't know what she needs
She won't say in fact
She hardly says anything
That I haven't pulled out of her
Like pulling a barge upstream
In a dark and rancid sea
So I ask about her
Pharmacology situation for
Lack of knowing what else there is
To be concerned about and she says
The side effects are too much
She's tired of it and
That's that
I try to encourage my friend
With only good thoughts
But I'm not too convincing
Because I am also in a
Pharmacology situation and
That's that
