WHY THE UK BREXITED THE EU POLITICIANS HEGMONY

BREXIT the background Posturing politicians pursuing their pompous persona,oblivious of the obvious, contemptuous of the common man,and common sense that therein abides.Such bella-donnas,a deadly night-shade in their braying bubble poisoned our democracy those hard won rights we and our forefathers sweated blood, tears & long years to achieve. Without a glance or referendum obliterated on the altar of ego,subsumed to the domination of the bureaucratic oligarchy of Brussels.O England,my fair land,once laid bare ,now on Jan 1 free to be,again

I don't understand my own county's weird politics any more, let alone England's, but I do believe the EU was flawed, so I am glad for your joy in this new thing you are writing about. may your new year be blessed.

Your country had wiser counsel in its inception and with all its balances,remains a democracy that works because of people power,witness both the rise and fall of Donald T recently.JFK in the 60s and Reagan in the 80s

Thank you Andrea,those who conceived the EU have no confidence in people power because of their histories(France+Germany) and so think politician diktat is the answer(just keep the hoi poloi economically happy )Their Union will fail ,they expanded it too far east and south.

Constance,it will ..the EU is fatally flawed in that regard but thats a longer story

"such bella-donas" - this sounds so familiar, and it is happening in the UK as well. No doubt about "wanting to be free again". I get that! You have my empathy and sympathy Brian. Well penned!

Caren,We in England did not become fully enranchised until July 2 1928 and it was given away to the undemocratic EU in 1990,(without our consent)until we rebelled by referendum 2016 and finally will regain on Jan 1 2021 PTL rgds Brian
