The Russo Ukranian War dates back to 2014, with the invasion of the Crimean peninsula and the Donbas War
which was fought by Pro Russian separatists in the eastern half of Ukraine.
This has been going on for a long time, even before Russia launched it's 2022 offensive on Ukraine, when everyone in the US began to show it's Pro Ukrainian support.
Putin has denied that The Ukraine was ever it's own
country. He has said that the land is not theirs, but was a part of Russia that was given away by Khrushchev and Lenin. It was a part of Russia, in the 18th century, also referred to as in Russian "New Russia".
This Ultranationalism that Russia exercises today
is not good for the future, it's been estimated that
hundreds of thousands have died in this bloody
conquest for land. I don't know if it will end anytime
soon. I doubt it. I don't think a leader like Putin would
do such a thing, seeing how he has turned the Russian Presidency into something like a dictatorship.
Look how he has kept his power and then you will
realize that this war won't be the last of him.

There was a man from Donbas
There was a man from Donbas,
who sat on a headless ass.
"Hey! You're going the wrong way!" he did say,
"and your breath smells of foul grass."
So, moved to the States he arranged,
dreaming of the wide open plains.
There, he too rode the same headless ass
and complained the view never changed.
So, he rode north to Canada,
where pike swims in lakes over tha.
But alas, he rode the same jackass
and nearly died from hypothermia.
Now for the south, he done rode,
way down to ole el méxico.
While riding his preferred headless steed,
he complained of the same poop show.
Let this be a lesson, dear friend.
When you roam to the ends, with no happiness to lend,
and find yourself riding a headless ass,
It's not the world that offends.
You simply mounted the wrong end.
And you must change before you die from the gas.

The names have been changed to protect the innocent. Any reflection of the Democratic Party, socialists, the left, or communists is simply a coincidence.

The combat in Ukraine
I have a problem; we know that Ukraine is a corrupt country
we also know it has fought a low-level war against
the Russian-speaking people in the Donbas region, so Russia
intervened, so far so good, but what is the next step?
If Russia holds on to the territory gained without having
an army station in the freed territories on a permanent basis
because Ukraine will cry foul and attack when they can.
Russia has always been a magnet for intruders because
of its potential riches and vastness.
There was a time when Yeltsin and his cronies were popular
they grabbed the state's assets and sold them down the Volga.
This was abruptly stopped, to the chagrin of the west
once more; Russia was the enemy.
I’m not partial to the Russian government’s plan, but as I see it
Russia has to occupy the whole of Ukraine and install a regime
that is permanently neutral and let Ukraine be a member
of the Russian federation.
In any case, the war must stop as thousands of young soldiers
die for the wrong reasons and the civilians are bombed senseless.

The freedom of the media
Freedom of speech and freedom of information
have now been restricted unless you watch the news
from approved channels.
I watch the news from the USA channels, from BBC
and Portuguese news; not to forget France 24.
I watched Russian TV since it carries alternative news
Take the news of Donbas, did you know the Russian
speakers tired the Ukraine army shelling has fled to
Russia, hundred thousand, by bus and rail.
This the western media keeps away from us because
we might consider Ukraine in a more sober way
The nail in the coffin of freedom of dialogue is shut.
