It was funny at first.
I bought groceries at McDon’s
She switched grocery stores
And began shopping there too.
I made a famous Jell-o salad for neighborhood picnics.
She asked for the recipe and began bringing it too.
Okay. Dokey.
No problem. I can survive this.
She began showing up where ever I was.
The pool, clothing stores, the park.
It is as if she was tracking my phone.
I have a stalker I told people; and I laughed.
After a few months of this
It stopped being a coincidence
And it stopped being funny.

Don't put your left hand in
don't shake it all about
stand 2 metres away
and mumble lyrics
from beneath the mask we
can never take off
no more space to dance
no time to stop
just is
we are this way

Oakey Dokey Smokey
He's my motley my baby pokey
geez smokey you sounded a little crockey
why I loved to be your blokey
let me hug yah like a bug in a rug
so snug we both kinda look like a pack of lugs
your one fat cat I can definitely say that
but boy cross your path
and we all end up in a big
black trap...

Near to Balmer, MD, not far from WaRshington
(that's DC to you and me)
is the capuhtal, Naplis.
It's a beautiful spot, right on the Chespeeke Bay.
Or if you like hunning, a trip to the forests
North of DC will satisfy yer yen.
After that, we'll come back home to Balmer
and Ah'll buy you all a soda and cigrettes.
Then I ken give ya duhrections to
the historic Fahr Hause where the fahrman stay,
and after that we ken go to the theAter.
So whaddya think? Anywhere else ya wanna go at?
The laundrymat? Okey dokey.
I ken see yer cloze are in need of warshing.
Ah'll go with ya and we'll play games
and drink a beur or two--make a night of it.
Go grab yer laundry.
Let's get thar before peepul take all the warshers.
Whaddya mean I have a accent?
That's ridiculous.
You're the one with the accent.
Sheesh!

The temptation is so easy
The cost cheaper than money
The moment is very funny
The idea so sunny
Yummy for tummy
Lets do the hokey pokey
Cheating becoming cozy
Okey dokey
But there are fumes, and smells phony
Hooey

Methinks I'm overdoing these pep talks
You people must be tired and bored
I hereby announce, going back to the sillies
Worry not, it's of my own accord
A niche that's always been my cup of tea
Poetry that includes lots of humour
Get quite a kick out of making folks laugh
Losing my smile's just a rumour
So here we go, are you ready for this stuff
I'm afraid it can get a bit hokey
What did the water say to the cruise ship?
Nothing, it just waved... okey-dokey
Now wasn't that extremely thoughtful of me
Coming up with this comedic gem
I'm not just another pretty face you know
I'm real kind and a genuine friend
Are you ready to bust a gut laughing again
Well maybe I'm exaggerating a bit
Are you ready to pee in your pantaloons
Oops sorry! No off colour quips
I've always been known as a rebellious sort
But I've tried hard to mend my ways
So it's nothing but sillies from this day forward
You can bet all your hard earned pay!

You say you're five foot six,
I think your yard sticks fixed.
You say you're five foot six
and your charm is not worn out!
You're singin' okey dokey
and I'm singin holy smokie.
No sir, I won't go OUT!
You put your toupee on.
I take your toupee off.
You put your toupee on.
and you're dancin' all about.
You're singin' okey dokey
and I'm singin' holy smokie,
no sir, I won't go OUT!
You put your false teeth in.
You take your false teeth out.
You put your false teeth in
and my face begins to pout.
You're singin' okey dokey
and I'm singin' holy smokie,
no sir, I won't go OUT!
*Please SING to the Hokie Pokey

I'll leave you alone today
never thought I'd see
things turn out this way
blood may be thicker but
we all know that it's
the girls that do rule
be happy number one son
I will be right here
