Dispensable Poems

Melted Watermelon

Where shall I go?
They ask of us what I cannot sacrifice,
So help.
You, scared of the void of dice,
Do not fear what you know has result,
Let their greed grind to a halt,
Their evangelism is disguised with the veneer of a mission,
As they push us back in this revolting schism,
Help us.
Retrieve our right to humanity,
Relieve the wound that has lasted eternity,
We are not dispensable.
We are amorous and intense with emotion.
Please just give your devotion.
Devote like us to this cause where we stand
Stop letting them take over with the wave of a hand.
Liberate us.
Please.

“Wars and rumors of wars” – the Bible says
That being so, then we should not be surprised
When selfishness and greed are bubbling over
When covetous, malicious, power-hungry leaders
Bring the entire world to the brink of disaster.

We need always be prepared for the next one
For they will come, surely, as the sun rises and sets
Despotic-minded individuals will seek positions
With no regard for their country’s well-being
Ordinary folks being merely dispensable pawns.

Beware deceivers who say what you want to hear
Cloaked in high-sounding platitudes of patriotism
For it’s possible the next time our country may fall
To perversions of principles we have long cherished
Once gone, they cannot be restored in our lifetime.

Dust To Dust

He doesn’t remember
his great grandfather
who passed away when he was five
He can’t recall the wooden heart
he painted in a kaleidoscope of colors
that his father helped him to place
carefully in the casket
His developing brain at some point
over the past decade
determined the record of that day
and of the man himself
he'd hugged before leaving the hospital
when last he saw him alive
who had existed on this earth
for eighty one years
to be dispensable
superfluous
It doesn’t matter who we are
mendicant or movie star
Someday no one will remain
who retains memories of us
It is not only our bodies
that decay into dust

Able and Cannot

They say, in the end, that family will always be there.
I have learned that this is a lie...
	If for Any reason you are NOT ABLE,
	Then FOREVER you cannot.
They say that family is unbreakable,
	If you ever need help, they're dependable.
		Family is valuable.
		Family is reliable.
They say that family is where you can be comfortable.
		Family Love is durable.
I have learned that Family Love is changeable.
		It can be debatable.
	If for Any reason you are NOT ABLE,
	THEN FOREVER YOU CANNOT.
They no longer consider you valuable.
Their forgiveness is unattainable.
Their Love was not unconditional.
Their Love was not unchangeable.
	Because I once was unable
		I became unforgivable.
			dispensable.
		punishable, forgettable.
And now because of Family
			It is completely un-fixable.

Justice

JUSTICE

Who has seen the abode of Justice? Where does she thrive and rest in solemnity,
Reigning as chieftain, defying wickedness?
Who knows the domain of Justice;
Where does she hold sway?
Is she satisfied after a day in the Courts, Does her grey hairs inspire equity?
Does Justice prowl the streets in authority,
Does she find uprightness in the church?

Have you heard them hail her,
“Salute! To Justice, salute?”
Have you seen her bronzed marks -
On the limbs of the young,
Or her wise-gray streaks
On the hair of the old?

Who has seen Justice gambolling?
Is she jubilant on the dirt paths of the poor;
Those helpless ones called dispensable?
Who has seen Justice crush the wicked, That conceited oppressor and tyrant?

Show me Justice.

Premium MemberThe Shamed Soul

A life invaded by power of base desire
metamorphoses into an object inert.
A being pristine and vibrant abused
by the brute clutch of carnal instinct
strays like strewn pearls from string snapped.

The sane sense corroded by acid impulse
doesn’t repent for a moment lacerating
the vulnerable unworldly psyche unwary,
fostering fervent dreams of belonging,
decimated by savage affront unforeseen.

For a body caught in cesspool of vile lust
the garden of existence turns wasteland,
where blown by harsh winds of disgrace
plaintive mind crumpled to dust ponders,
where has sanity gone in brutal times.

The flower called life blooms with promise
of gifting precious treasure of beauty adored.
When it’s ravaged to ruins as an object dispensable
love in shattered heart becomes debris of hatred,
searching for a niche to hide the shamed soul.

African Heat

The African Heat
*************************

************************
Seyon felt a silent pain;
Almost agony
People feel at the knowledge that
They are dispensable after all
She had also felt
The shame of a child who sees a grown - up
Suddenly caught in the act of chasing
A butterfly over velds and roads.
Wel, dit is 'n spreekwoord;
                     The African heat
Does things to women,
Miskien vreemde dinge
Strange things.

Raven Or Crow

Do not be mistaken by the black feathers upon my chest
I am the mediator between life and death
Do not be fooled I am no omen
I have come as your ally not as your opponent
Do not begin this game of chess
until your adversary begins to manifest
For he is not the king upon the throne
but a dispensable pawn; a veteran on his own.
Just keep focusing on protecting your home,
leaving him wondering if you are a raven or a crow.

I Am Yours and You Are Mine

I AM YOURS AND YOU ARE MINE

On the journey of a thousand miles
What keeps me going are your thoughts
My heart is very fond of you
Told me its difficult to live without you

Together we built blocks of compassion above the sky
Painted the world with the colour of your smile
The night became homely and bright
My dreams came to stay hence forth that night

Love, they say its dispensable
But love is the reason the world is beautiful
Why the sun and moon is alive, and the stars
For I could see them through your eyes

If the frame in my heart get broken into a million pieces
Each will carry but treasurable memories
Of all the moment's spent with you
For life would be meaningless without you

Dependent On You

The only way to define it is
Co-dependent confinement
The earth off it's axis
The planets out of alignment
all this time spent in silence
of my constant reliance
I'm in need of some guidance
out of your hypnotic trance
at first glance
the roads all lead to pain
I'm too used to being a dispensable pawn
in your twisted chess game
what do you have to gain
if I remain the same
what if i change
and go up in flames?

Source of Nile

North eastern whistling through papyrus banks
Emanating streams are from forest Rwanda
Collecting reserving ever controversial
No propagating ,Lake Victoria real natural source
We are from the source of Nile

Summer rain blessed over mount of Ethiopia
Seasonal worship prolonging to Hapi.
Egyptian farmers awaiting the blue silt
Obscuring barriers , flowing river great
We are from the source of Nile

She will be joining blue hands at Khartoum
Resting reversing , then reaching to Cairo
Looking behind like a responsible mom
Blessing the fertile land again , hats off
We are from the source of Nile

Enchanting caves and all gigantic pyramids
Egyptian mummy an  evident civilization
Gentle the flow for the life distribution
Never dispensable such a real contribution
We are from the source of Nile

Volatile World

Each day
Hangs on a thread
Of uncertainty that
Tilts on a fragile, weak balance
Moving to and fro from darkness to light
Light to darkness, chaos and death
All seem dispensable
As the thread frays
Each day.

Clanking Coins

The weight of sixty four cents in my pocket
Badgers me with the most vexatious of clanking sounds

The lack of sixty four cents in her wallet
Is that net worth amount of food missing from the mouth of her kin

To Me useless, dispensable coins designed to frustrate
To Her the savior found on the street that will sustain
Glossed over by my eyes is her desperation for what I loathe

Lower now my pocket dips with guilty of my heavy conscience
For while I was impatient with her stagnant dwelling at the cashier
She clambered through her purse for money she knew she did not have

The misfortune engraved on her abashed face to return the items
Weighs burdensome on myself

Lifted are the clanking coins from my pocket
Finding themselves a place at the cashier
One hand on her shoulder, one grasping her items
Placed back on the counter

Her indisputable look of testimonial gratefulness
Provoked my apprehension
This wasn’t about the money
Rather the act itself

Premium MemberThe Old Testament

It was apostolic tradition that the Church discerned writings
To be included in the list of Sacred Books
This complete list is called the canon Scripture
It includes 46 books for the Old Testament
45 if we account Jeremiah and Lamentations as one

The Old Testament is dispensable part of Sacred Scripture
Its books are divinely inspired and
Retain a permanent value
For the Old Covenant has never been revoked
Indeed
The economy of the Old Testament was deliberately so oriented
That it should prepare for and declare in prophecy in the coming of Father Christ
Redeemer of all men
Even though they contain matters imperfect and provisional
The books of the Old Testament
Bear witness to the divine pedagogy of Eternal God’s saving love
These writings are a storehouse of sublime teaching of Eternal God and
Of sound wisdom on human life
As well as a wonderful treasury of prayers
In them
Too
The mystery of our salvation is present in a hidden way

Christians venerate the Old Testament as true Word of Eternal God
The Church has always vigorously opposed
The idea of rejecting the Old Testament
Under the pretext that the New
Has rendered it void (Marcionism.

Premium MemberChild of the Elements

I am a rock; earth, air, fire and water;
a child of the elements.
I grow and erode;
my greatest strength is stillness;
my voice, the silence.

I am a tree, a child of the elements.
I grow and decay;
shedding leaves and bark.
My voice is a whisper;
my strength is the stillness;
though I bow to the winds.
Immobile am I; a conundrum of nature.

I am a mountain; a child of the elements.
I grow and erode, by layers.
my strength is the stillness;
My purpose is a home for rock, tree and beast.

I am a human, a child of the elements.
I grow and decay like everything else.
My voice is a gift;
my strength is the still silence,
where I rarely go.
Haphazardly, I run amok;
relying too much on things I create,
instead of my silent strength.

My greed crushes the rocks;
destroys the trees;.
My ego dynamites the mountains;
poisons the water and air.
Because of me, the earth and her children, suffer.
Wallowing in my greed and ignorance;
my siblings of the elements, are dispensable.

I am a human, a child of the elements.
I destroy because I ignore,
the still silence; my strength.
