HEART'S PRAYER
breaking out of fear
seeking peace with tear
needing freedom gear
escaping from gloom’s steer
to love, drawing near…
soul in despair
cries for blest care
against cursed stare
midst what’s unfair…
faith smites doubt
conquers pout
from guilt’s route…
pride falls
heart calls…
God!*
