The devil is
what the devil is
the devil does
what the devil does
why blame Diddy
for what one accepts,
the cravings of a shallow ego?
Hollywood-fame comes with an
industry price
sort of like sitting on a subway
seat, where last sat a commuter
covered with lice --

Diddy said he didn’t do what many say he did
but Diddy’s only famous for he knows the talented
if Biggie wasn’t shot Diddy would not have had a hit
but Diddy put the hit on Biggie that is why he did
Though he had the power he never had the skill
paying all that money for somebody else to kill
the competition that went missing when the spot was failed
by Bad Boy Records never special Diddy died a jailed

"Sung to the tune of Disney's song: 'Cruella DeVil'."
Diddy DeVil, Diddy DeVil,
No little green Martian,
Is not who you kill,
You like to yodel, yodel,
At will,
Oh Diddy, Diddy, Diddy, DeVil.
Oh Diddy is mean,
Oh Diddy is fast,
The White House is calling,
For Diddy at last,
The President is dropping like a pill,
Oh Diddy, Diddy, Diddy, DeVil.
When Diddy is caught,
When Diddy is cruel,
When video is shot,
Of a one-sided duel,
The Martians may be fighting for a thrill,
But no one is a draggin' like DeVil.
Oh Diddy, you gambler,
Is Vegas your thing?
Did you spend your money,
To hear Tom Jones sing?
The Martian Menace fighting us is still,
So yodel, yodel, Diddy DeVil!

If you thought that it was tricky to write verse in anapest,
I assure you, there are harder forms that leave you in arrest.
When I stumbled on the present one, I thought it might be best
To provide a short example, and let you fill in the rest.

This one is called a Fifteener, with 15 syllables per line as:
diddy-DUM-di diddy-DUM-di diddy-DUM-di diddy-DUM

Your judged by the company you keep
And In who's feelings you'll steep
But it is of importance
If you're a conformist
Just to who's side you'll leap
Always trust in the feelings of your heart
Though they don't always seem that smart
But if you can check
These feelings on deck
You'll wind up with a much better part
I know it sounds funny even a little strange
People might think I'm slightly deranged
But the lyric of the poem
Hits so close to home
Like your thoughts I'll somehow detain
It started with something and ended with nil
As I struggle with these words to fill
In this little ditty
As my mind is giddy
But after this verse it grew still

Paco, my dog, was the best friend I have ever had.
My shadow.
My pillow.
He would mold to my every move.
Such a good "pet".
He would pretend to like long rides, just so he could come with me...and try to hide when
he got car sick.
Me and Paco went everywhere together, even to Petsmart.
But that wasn't really his thing, he didn't like to act like the other dogs.
He wanted to be like me, a human.
He didn't know any better.
Paco even smiled like a human.
I could swear he knew what I was talking about, because he always knew how I felt.
I guess I didn't even need to say how I felt, because he always knew, and he was always there.
He didn't care what I had on TV.
It didn't bother him when I had no money.
He didn't even care if I smelled like poo.
Heck! He would even sit with me while I pooped!
If that's not a friend, what is?
Miss my Diddy.

You hold my desire,
set my soul on fire.
My mind is inspired,
your touch sends me higher.
To another place.
To another time.
And I lose all control,
thinking about you.
How I long for you to
hold me.
Those many times you've
told me.
Your kisses are like sugar.
Don't ever let go of me.
I wish for the time,
when forever, you're mine.
And our temptation is
refined.
Kiss me, once again,
and tell me your secrets.
Whisper in my ear,
how you long for me.
As I lose all control,
low and behold.
I'm back in your arms,
where I belong.

Oh my dear,
Never fret.
I will sleep,
But not yet.
First I must,
Write a rhyme.
Just like this,
Right on time.
I must try,
To make you smile.
Even just if,
For a little while.
So here I sit,
To write this poem.
To cheer you up,
Till you come home.
