Premium Member Swans and Snakes

A million dollars will shut a thousand mouths.
Forever seal black books.
Seed a million clouds.
Place bodies in swamps, swaying from meat hooks.
And far- far underground.
A billion dollars can buy 10 million souls.
Denature the entire fabric of the globe.
Chase hope and faith down the rabbit hole.

A billion dollars will promptly end investigations.
Turn the lake of truth into a blue opaqueness.
A trillion dollars will turn a bank of swans into a den of snakes.

Premium Member A Cat Winter Wish

I used to dread it every year.
The mysticism of winter filled me with fear.
I observed the fallen leaves on the floor.
The emotion on my face flipped to a sore.

I'd rather dwell on my gloomy thoughts.
What struck me was how I argued and sought
I loved everything almost watching nature.
Plants and animals are affected by denature.

It poured as I strolled by the oleander tree.
Oleander is the oldest living species to dree.
The bane is its dark green lanceolate shape.
the water trickling down from the cape.

My black cat is making an active effort.
to seek refuge behind falling leaves.
However, it is reacting to a leg hurt.
It might draw too wet for food and sheaves.

If a cat could foam a wish come true,
I lack to have a lot of tasty fresh fish.
a fish that is wriggling and writhing too.
I would wish it in a silver, fluttering dish.

Everything works in complete harmony.
Winter is groovy, but it won't last until spring!
Summer and bliss are in aorist harmony.
Winter will not persist; everything swings.

Sweet Surrender

I won't surrender, I came from nature,
She led me through my adult life,
Like silkworm silk spun to a filature.
Showing me how to wrongs denature
So sadly failing, for hate and war is rife!

Although still focused, my mind is ailing,
Full of compassion but o so very tender.
Like on stormy oceans, rough, rough sailing.
My mind focused, my strength badly failing.
So close to my final sweet surrender!

The Empty

THE EMPTY
by Mark Miller © 11/13/2013
Memory's memento play of
Rhymes captor performance
Fleeting feelings denature above
Father's absent surrogate running
Vanity around vacuous wander
While child sinks through ocean
Hole couch left home sick silence
While twilight Zone features Searling
Bleak departure into rabid paranormal
Shaking development of altered persona
Into character model moles depersonal
Reasons torn torture in acid base seduction
Stirred and poised as serpents coil claw
Polarized reverence never reaching adolescence

Farewell Jimmy Cricket

Alone in my room...
Bored and hungry
With no food to consume

I look at a corner...
A cricket
"Hello, Jimmy, it's an honour."

My room became his...
My new room-mate
My heart was filled wit bliss

Day 3, knocked off at five
Jimmy still in my room
"Come on, let's get you a wife."

I offered him to nature
Jimmy hopped with joy
Too bad I can't denature

It is a dangerous world
Lizard caught Jimmy...
I froze in angst as Jimmy twirled
