Ol'Country Sounds

OL'COUNTRY SOUNDS

My kind of music is those ol'country sounds.
Their words of life and those things all around.

The great music of Merle Haggard,George Jones.
Their very blusey voices and swaggard tones.

The beautiful Lorretta Lynn and Patsy Clyne.
Listening to their music with a glass of wine.

All the new music is full of soul.
But there's nothing like country Ol'.

I really loved to hear this man sing.
His real name was Harry, but we knew him as “Bing”.
In his career, he ventured very far.
Not only was he a singer, he was a movie star.
All of his music was in great demand.
However, he was terrific with music of Ireland.
Each time I heard one of his melodies,
I would embark on one of many vicarious journeys.
I could just imagine myself walking the Emerald Isle.
It was the next best thing to reality all the while.
Yes, we all know the man is now gone.
However, his immortal voice is left to carry on.

Empty Garden

I walk down the streets but the sound has gone.
My footprints on the walkway past your window and beyond.
No more music echoing through the stone tree park.
Just a poet who walked and left his mark.

An empty garden with no more music played.
Just the sounds of tears and distant prayers today.
An empty garden with no more music played.

The window is quiet and the shades are down.
Only an older women with just a heart broken frown.
Lost half her soul on that December day.
Now we read how peace was their only say.

An empty garden with no more music played.
Just the sounds of tears and distant prayers today.
An empty garden with no more music played.

A circle of Imagine just across the street that says it all.
A lasting impression that still draws crowds every fall.
And now he watches from the clouds and fields.
His words carry on for all of us to feel.

An empty garden with no more music played.
Just the sounds of tears and distant prayers today
An empty garden with no more music played.

Michael Jackson

I say it was a gift from god the talent that bore your soul, it came so natural to you that from
a young age you knew your lifes role.
you could sing so well but most of all you could dance.
There are millions who would have loved to see you perform but never got the chance.
your music has and will be around for many's a generation. it shouldn't be any other way as
you worked so hard, you deserve the dedication.
However, you did have to witness some very tough times along the way.
but for those who put your life through so much distress, it will all fall back on them someday.
All because people could not understand you where just a child at heart.
Reason being that you missed out on childhood as you had to perform music, right from the
start.
unfortunately for the rest of the world your life has been shortened and now you are gone,
but one thing's for sure your legendary and music will forever live on.

A Tribute To Michael Jackson

The world never really knew you
Many found it hard to understand you
But your music united a nation
And joined worlds far apart.

Our opposites became similarity
And your music brought joy to our heart
You were a mighty man
Your nature was childlike.

Your sense of humor was strange
Ambitious were you and emotional you became
Your love for children brought you joy
And accomplishments were made.

Cruel at times we were
Many keen to tarnish your name
But history had it that your name will live on
As a legend and king among kings.

A son of Mo town and a prince of pop
Outrageous was thriller and millions were made
A song by a god that will never be forgotten.
